VERY true to life and well-stated! I've seen fics that miss this very important point.

And in particular - Buffy is just a few years older than Mya (no more than 4 or 5 in story terms, I think?) 20 is not necessarily different from 16 - it can be, of course, but it depends in part on the maturity of the individuals , and Mya seems very mature. But still - Buffy's age almost makes her more of a slightly older sister or friend than a stepmom (although it happens all the time I guess in RL). I suppose this is good for Buffy - Mya becomes a replacement for Dawn? She's actually similar to Dawn in some respects, but seems slightly more together and mature.

The uncertainty on both of their parts as to what the relationship is now, where can it go, can they even hug one another is beautifully expressed. The part about Spike saying Buffy's name aloud is very poignant.

oh that is good, I hope he does get her off and do what he really wants, so it seems with Claire if was more of a convinced and the may be the way he loved her.

I really like this story and all, and it's nice for things to be explained thoroughly like in this chapter, but it's about time for some juicy stuff! I want some kissage and some arguing and big nasty fights and awesome make-up snogging! Explaining is all well and good, but I need more passion! Buffy and Spike need to just get over their inhibitions already and get it on!

He argued for the state of vampires as a ghost? Those W & H connections must have really helped. He still has to get to that part of the story. The Angel part of the story.

I'm glad she pulled out the paper right away. I was hoping that woldn't be pushed off, still. She has to remember, and bring up, that the Shadowmen wanted her to see all this for a reason.
