Good thing I did not get all comfortable with my satisfaction in that last chapter, huh? I said it before...you are not afraid to take me or your story right to the edge. Yeah...I pretty much knew that Spike not having a memory of everything back in Sunnydale would be a big problem. I have noticed that he seems to be getting most of the really bad bits back too. He has none of their last moments together to balance out some good with all the bad. I never connected the Dawn thing with the Buffy thing. You dropped the bomb on me when Spike confessed. I did not realize that you had me that close to the edge. Sneaky. Wow...add that to the mix with the possiblity of Spike having to bite Dawn plus a small window of time to fight the big brewing evil. Yikes! Things are getting tense. I am glad that you stuck with your muse...I like an edge to my stories. Many thanks for & a grateful goodbye to Richard. Smart Buffy. I guess Buffy won't be..."sleeping with that sexy vampire" or "going to have sex with Spike again" or "let him make love to her like he always wanted, let him hold her afterwards while she slept"...any time soon, huh? Tease. Guess there will be fallout in the next chapter that I am so eagerly waiting for too, huh? Evil.

You make me laugh. Oh no...you are definitely not writing this story just for me. I read on an LJ a couple of days ago where someone was trying to track your story down when The Spuffy Realm was down...so nope I believe you have lots of readers...they just aren't as talky as me. It took me a while to really start giving feedback...now I can't be quiet. I loved this chapter...I had to read it twice...your lines like this... "There was no affection in it, just anger and confusion, lust and fear he kissed her as if he could break her growing hold on him by the ferocity of his kiss alone, he wanted to subdue her, to punish her spitfire soul for having the audacity to call to him."...revealed the build up of their passion & emotions so intensely. Buffy with the Dawn thing(snicker)...I notice her Richard never even crossed her mind. I really like Spike instinctively stopping before they went too far. Buffy & Spike are doing the dance of one step forward two steps back...I would not have it any other way. I believe I have another chapter to read....

Two chapters? Wow...you made my day. This chapter may have been short but it was big in other ways. Spike finally begining to sense just how deeply aware of Buffy he really is...he did not kill the kid because of her...he is deeply attracted to & dreaming of her...he wants answers about her. You have Spike put into words what he feels for Dawn & open up to her. You have things between Buffy & Spike start to come out. Spike & Buffy's "talk" outside was so good from Spike's...“Make me.” he challenged, his tongue stroking the back of his teeth" to his...“I don’t love you yet”. The encounter was made even more powerful by scared Buffy resorting to hitting him again...in her defense he wasn't talking so much as challenging her...and Buffy's vunerable...“You don’t love me anymore”. You have set the stage for some powerful emotions & tummy tingling UST...not to mention danger. I am all for it.

I love when Spike & Buffy fight together....pure magic, and you wrote that scene so well!! I'm glad that Spike is finally beginning to see Buffy, I know what an incredible feat that must be for him at this point. I mean, just a few days ago he thought she killed both him & Drusilla in a fire! Yay Spike! I'm also feeling a twinge of anxiety over Buffy's belief that Spike & her sister are "together". Ack! I sense some spuffiness on the horizon, though. Perhaps they'll both be seeing the light soon.... :) More please! I'm enjoying this story so very much!

The feeling is mutual...each new chapter makes me love your story more & more. The story just keeps getting better & better...& it started off pretty damn good. You drew me in with that almost kiss between Spike & Buffy. You played it just perfectly...I felt Spike's rejection of Buffy as if it were my own. This is a bit of poetic justice for Buffy because of their past. I am just glad that she is aware of it..."his talented hands drawing patterns on her bare skin, she had been his canvas back then and his muse. She ached with regret as the memory played out "...must mention what beautiful lines are in this scene...I ache with her. Things seem so hard for her now...this rejection from Spike thing, the turning out to may not be as nice as she thought Richard thing, the baby eating incestuous evil big bad thing, & the can't help it jealously of Dawn thing. You are just breaking heart but good...I love it. The sweetly simple scene with Xander was much needed after all of the conflicting emotions between Buffy & Spike. Do I need to tell you how eager I am for the next chapter? Oh...I am...I am...

Aargh! Write faster. I have always been a souless Spike fan. Bad boys are more fun! But soulful Spike is good too (Who am I kidding? Anyway I can get Spike I will take it!) Anyway I am loving the story, and can't wait for some Spuffy Luvin'!

Really great chapter! I feel so sorry for Buffy. It must be terrible not being able to totally open up about everything. I can't wait for more!
