Hey! Good to see this post. I can so completely relate to the missing muse syndrome. I think it's inevitable, in your case, given the amazing amount you've been writing. You can't really force it, so let it come when it can. I loved this chapter. Spike saying he'll get on his knees to convince Giles to help Buffy is so desperate. Her confusion is heart-breaking. I look forward to more. You've set up a unique and compelling crisis for our cherished characters.

I was pleasantly surprised to see this story posted today. And I understand that life can be hectic. I for one will gladly read what you give us when you do post, with no nagging.

Even though there is definite angst in this chapter, I think there are some rays of hope. Buffy is miserable, yes, and so is Spike by association. But the fact that she is finding some solace in Spike, voluntary or involuntary, means that there is still a spark left in her. And I think that if Spike proves he's capable of being with her in spite of the soul and her demands that he not feed, maybe she can find herself again. Likewise, I think this conversation between Buffy and Giles that's coming up (potentially) is going to be important.

I enjoyed the conversation between Giles and Spike, too. I think the two have a mutual respect, if only because they've seen more and know more than the rest.

Hi there. I'm -definitely- still reading. :) I'm so curious as to what's going to happen: does Buffy realize she loves Spike? Does she experience that moment of "perfect happiness" and lose her soul again? What happens if and when she sees Willow and Giles?

Loved the Giles/ Willow confrontation. So very true that she is not seeing the big picture, or possibly the actual picture, here. And I love Spike protesting the situation for her, because she deserves better. Enjoy your holiday and I will be here when you're back.

Late again or more like still late reading, but I'm here now.
Oh today I sure can understand how Spike feels, unsure what will happen to Buffy.
Though I love seeing Spike taking care of Buffy. Willow underestimates the ability of vampires being able to love. Well Spike is special too. And maybe Spike is on the right way to help Buffy. It won't make her better now but for now it is helping her. As long as he won't kill people I think.
~ And Giles knows very well how the curse would work for Buffy. Willow is blind on this eye. She even sees that she has done something wrong. ~ And Spike is suffering with Buffy. But it doesn't get better the way it is. Buffy's thoughts are running around in circles. I wonder if Spike will go to Giles for help because she trusted him before. ~
