I can't wait to see what you decided to do. For myself, it was only abuse because Buffy allowed it. He really wasn't forcing her to do anything. It's like saying it's herions fault your addicted. It jumped into the spoon melted it's self down and ran into the syringe. Buffy could have stopped it before it took hold of her. and allowed herself to be used by him. She wasn't getting anything out of the deal in the end, not even the connection with his kisses. When the foundation of a building is destroyed the whole building must be torn down to be rebuilt again, if at all. Depends on how bad you want it. If they are ever to have any kind of healthy relationship, Spike's got to start looking at everything a tad bit differently, or they can't work.
Author's Response: Yes, well... yes. I think you read ahead because you read my mind. This is the part of the story where Spike finally starts to see that all those stereotypes and cliches and generalizations are ridiculous. Interesting bit about Buffy allowing it, and very nice metaphor with the heroin. Now we're speaking my language with the drugs. :D We must completely destroy before we restruct, yes. Hence the theme: "it has to end to begin."

Author's Response: Did I ever tell you about the time I *only* listened to Ozzy? Yeah, it was sophomore year, and all I would damned listen to was Black Sabbath and solo Ozzy... it was crazy. I remember every riff of every single one of his songs... Tony Iommi is god. The words were definitely in his mind; I'm doing a very clever thing here by putting up a facade for Spike to see how bad he really is. Yeah, Angel is definitely pissed off at Spike.

How does the father of a drugged out teen keep his job as principle? Homicide might lose it for him though. Was this what Spike had in mind for the party? He didn't have a problem with drugs or vandelism? Why not Buffy, she did it to Faith in canon? Seems a bit logical for it to be her. Did Spike even know she carried a gun? Can't wait to find out.
Author's Response: As always, Wilkins is corrupt. I believe I also allude that Spike's father Giles (who owns the town) is more corrupt, and that the two are friends and so nothing can happen to Wilkins or Faith. This is definitely not what Spike had in mind for the party. He did not know she had a gun. He thought she would just come over at 3 AM and put on some rock music or something.

Author's Response: Hehehe... you see, stuff like "shades of Buffy" comes VERY easy to me because I'm a guy and I thought up these things while watching the show. It would be harder for a girl, because they'd be so preoccupied with Spike. :( As for music, it's one of my passions and I have a very acquired taste. I love music from the 60s and 70s, classic rock is my favorite form of music. For months I would listen to my local classic rock station every night, so I know practically every song their is in rock. My mom and dad, who were both born in the 50s, are even amazed by how knowledgeable I am on music; I know more than them and I wasn't even alive when it came out. But, yeah, music is a passion of mine. :)
