Love a jealous Buffy , but I must know are you going to finish this or just post the chapters you have written? Because I read this before on other sites only don't remember up to what chapter Iv'e read. It's always been a fave of mine and would like to see it finished.
Author's Response: the story will be finished, I swear it. I'm RE-posting the chapters I've written because it's been almost five years since I've touched this damn story, and it needs to be updated. And also, there were quite a few grammatical errors that I'd made, that no one caught, because I didn't have a beta at the time. I do now, so that's one problem fixed. At the present, I have to revise chapters 11 & 12 and then send them off to Megan to hopefully be betaed, and THEN i'll post them up, and then I'll revise 13 and 14, and Lord knows this story is probably going to end up being around 22 chapters long plus epilogue. I hope. Anyway, thanks for the review :)

I like this story - you're good at dialog, and the characters ring true. About the other matter you mentioned : relax -- the "romantic connotations" were part of a dream, not real ( I hope).

Meant to tell you sooner - I am simply ADORING this fic! The angst is wonderful - makes the eventual payoff so much sweeter - and writers that initially set that up well are always a joy to read (for me anyway, I know not everyone enjoys the angst). I cannot wait to see how you handle the "reunion" we're on the heels of now (though the dream sequence earlier was quite a nasty tease!) Patiently awaiting your next update...

Really good. This story is a very subtle and gentle read (if that makes sense). I like how everyone is not melodramatic (yet) and you are true to the characters voices. I'm interested to see where you take this story. Thanks for writing.
Author's Response: Well, thank you very much :) I'm trying to keep it as close to the actual characters as possible -- although, I suppose it helps that I speak fluent Joss Whedon, and he's admitted that the words that come out of the characters' mouths are often the thoughts that flow through his head. I'm not quite sure how melodramatic it'll get. I'll have to get my beta to help me figure that out :) Thanks for the review!

Author's Response: When I first started this story, I was desperate to bring some semblance of normalcy back to the Buffyverse, especially after all of the Season 6 horror. It crossed my mind that, if I had my way, Buffy WOULD feel guilty, and Spike WOULD still be miserable, but they certainly wouldn't snipe at each other the way they did in the canon Season 7. Cuz that's just ridiculous :) Thanks for reviewing!

Hello there! I'm so happy to see this story! I've checked your website since I read this years ago and dispaired of you ever finishing it. Dare I hope, that, as I see it here now, that it means you will be finishing it? (crosses fingers now):) Re: your author's note:I don't know why you wouldn't like this chapter....it's well written and moves the plot along nicely.You get to see Buffy admitting to herself that Spike means something to her , and see Spike begin to grow into the person he can be, and doing it all on his own without help from anyone. All in all, I think it's great and I look forward to your updates. Again, great to see this story!!!
Author's Response: Regarding my author's note: Chapter two is my least favorite of what I've written because it was so difficult for me to write. When I originally wrote Beneath You, it was only intended to be a one-shot. Part One was supposed to be it. But then I had clamoring and praises from people, and they were begging me to continue, so I did. It got better after chapter two, but I basically had to force myself to think of a topic for the chapter. I got irritated and mad, and then I just wrote it out saying, "This is just cannon fodder. It'sonly a filler, so that we can get to the good stuff." Ergo, Dawnie's name at the end :)
Regarding future chapters: Yes, I do plan to finish Beneath You. I plan to finish Full of Grace as well, but that one might take a little more time. To be honest, I sort of lost my confidence with this story once ff.net decided to ban NC-17 stories. Nobody could find it, and then when I finally posted my website and unveiled the story, I never received any reviews telling me how to go about things. (I do enjoy constructive criticism.) Ergo, why it's taken so long for me to even consider jumping back into it. But after I revamped OoMH and saw the response I got for it, I figured that if nothing else, I might as well at least try and introduce new people to a better version, and maybe some of the original readers will find it, and enjoy it, too.
I kinda got off topic there a little bit. Yes, I will be finishing the story, and I'm beginning work, little by little, on Chapter 13, as yet untitled, right now. I desperately need a beta that knows what they're doing :(
