Well, obviously I have a high tolerance for assholes (which makes sense, since the only thing in common between the men I have been involved with has been the smart ass factor), but I do not hate Spike after this chapter. He is being a man and unless you are with someone like Faith, most women take a little wooing. Buffy does not want to hear that he knows he was the best she ever had, she wants to hear that he knows how good they were together and that he cannot stop thinking about her, but as stated before; boys are dumb. I really think that the blood that supplies their erections comes directly from their brains. How else could they let some of the things they think come out of their mouths when they are horny. Maybe he needs a transfusion.;-) I do like Faith calling Buffy on her attraction to Spike. I like it so much more when they are real friends versus Faith trying to mack on Buffy's men and as I have mentioned before, I really like Gunn in this. I love his little atempt at match-making for our couple, letting Buffy know that beneath the exterior Spike really is a nice guy. Hopefully, she can figure that out for herself fairly soon, but until then, bring on the hot, sweaty, angry sex!!!!!!! Thanks for a great update!!

Fantastic update. Spike is going about attracting Buffy the wrong way but then he's a bloke with quite a high opinion of himself. How can Buffy (or for that matter anyone) not find him attractive? I think she knows if she kisses him that she will not be able to resist but then it would only be sex - again. He can be nice (the bathroom scene for instance) and I don't think he's a horrible person by nature. It probably comes from doing the job he does (or did) and creating a persona which would appear to have very few weaknesses. I'm going on a bit now but can't wait to read more - soon please. LOVE IT.

Wow, I actually feel a bit sorry for Spike in regards to the whole kissing thing. I mean, back when they made that bet playing poker, Spike took the higher ground and here Buffy is determined to worm her way out of it when she gave him her word. I mean, ok, granted... Spike is being a royal SOB here, but, I dunno, Buffy's word should count for something right? I mean, couldn't she have given him a peck or something? Not grumbling at you here! Personally, I appreciate the longer updates, even if I have to wait a little longer for them. Says the person who emailed you about an update 3 seconds before this was posted. *hangs head in sheepish shame* That said, onto the review

1) Okay, so Spike's being a bastard at the bar. Is it wrong that I like him when he's being a bastard? After all, he's not exactly, *wrong* about Buffy wanting the yummy goodness that is Spike...

2) Willow bringing up the tampon incident was priceless. I think my eyes were nearly as wide as Spike's - just sitting here saying, "Oh, no she *DIDN'T*!" LOL! :-D

3) Totally enjoyed Buffy having the upper hand in the food court. She made him eat dirty cheese! *snoopy dance* I am really enjoying Spike realizing that her will do pretty much anything for a chance to get Buffy back into his bed. After everything her put her through in Basic, she is so getting her own back and it's brilliant to see happen.
