Spike is such a wimp.. passing out. I know I had a knee problem, the doctor used a big needle in some sort of procedure, hurt like hell. The nurse said... women took the pain no problem, most men fainted.

I had a section.. so didn't go through the pain of contractions. But your description was priceless.

Too bad about our author on Shadows. Thought something had happened when she didn't post this weekend. Shame. When is your husband returning?

Author's Response: LOL, yup, he really was a wimp when it came to the blood and needles. I figure he had such a strong character in every other arena that he needed an achilles heel so to speak. I never had a c-section, I had a normal vaginal delivery w/ both my little ones, but yeah, those contractions and the labor process... not fun. It is too bad about Shadows but it simply had to be for her job's sake. Hopefully she can write her summation as soon as her finger heals sufficiently. The hubby is getting back the second week of November, so it's just around the corner... thank God. THe kids and I miss him terribly so it will be great to have him back. wonderful, wonderful end to the story. Really enjoyed it. I've seen quite a few fathers hit the deck when the wife was delivering. my own tried it as well at the sight of the needle needed for the spinal so I laughed out loud at that bit. many many thanks for sharing

how sweet is that! such a great ending to a very dramatizing yet funny experience. this reminds me of my child development class when the women starts "nesting" right before birth and goes all crazy with the cleaning because of excessive energy and that not so cool birthing video i had to watch o.o the child birth isnt that bad.its the "after birth" of the placenta now that is not cool. xD but i loved how you brought humor to the whole situation and although it scared the crap out of me for having children i truly enjoyed reading it. thank you for such a wonderfully well written story. :D aahh the miracles of army babies ;]

Author's Response: Giving birth is such an experience in itself that I defintely tried to make it as funny as possible. Hee hee - the hairy legs and dr.s comment was me when i had my second child. Oh yes, the nesting faze - my house benefitted greatly and of course the video, ughh. I have both my kid's birth filmed and I plan to use as a method of THEIR birth control when they hit puberty,,, i don't need to be a grandmother before my time, hahhahaha. I figure if they see what happens, they might be less likely to be careless. Ick! I agree the placenta was so not fun, but afterwards that's when i felt truly relieved. My hubby had the nerve to take a picture of it, ewwww! DOn't let te chapyy scare ya, giggles, it's a painful experience to be sure, but isn't too much to handle - at least with the right drugs, lol. First of all, I'm very, very sorry it took me so long to review. *blushes* Second, you already know how much I loved the chapter, but I don't think you'd mind me telling you again, would you? *giggles* I absolutely loved the proposal, Spike's cockiness shining through as he asked, completely sure of what the answer would be, I also loved the way Buffy finally told him of the baby and his reaction to it, and of course, last but not least, the hot, hot, HOT, flashback scene in the hotel.
