Ah that was a part of Joyce's story. So William took her back with her to Russia. Where she got hurt later but he did help her to escape again (when I read the first chapters correct).
I wonder what Buffy will decide now. :)
Xander is bad for her; he is indeed what Hank and Spike think of him.

Though I now some books about Stanislaski I don't know Lisa Kleypas'. Hehe.. the prince was called Angelovsky in her book *grins* And it has time travel... the original one. ~ Whatever you changed or are using from the original one, the summary sounds interesting :)
And I like the start. Joyce told Spike her opinion of his fool mood *g*. ~ And love that survived thousands of years the sounds like reincarnation ... But Joyce didn't see the face of the woman, huh? Little does she know but she noticed something off later.
William got Buffy a tiger? That's a big cat... ~ And at last Joyce saw that Buffy is meant to be with Spike. But she tries to put this to a stop before it starts. I wonder why...
I guess we'll get a little of Joyce's story (what Spike did to her) later. I guess that's "Midnight Angel" or? *on to the next chapter*

A historical fiction, yay! I love these, especially since they are so rare but usually very well written. This story seems to have the same good quality. At least the beginning is very promising.

A question concerning the Russian names. In the first chapter, there is a character called Illia. I've never heard this name before, so I'm curious - is this some kind of an English version of the name Ilja?

You're on a roll! :) I like stubborn Buffy and building UST. Looking forward to more.

Ooo err I say - oh yeah, a BIG ooo err LOL. Really liking the period setting and the ever so feisty Joyce that you've created. Hank seems well devoted to her which makes a change from how he's often portrayed. Can't wait to find out what the dynamic between our leads will be like when Buffy is twenty (how old is William btw?) And will Manny still be around by then too? Here's hoping so (me loves me some tiger cubs). More soon please.
