That line of Angels', something like "I don't have a chip, just a soul same as yours" was perfectly stated and innocuous while also being ominous as hell.

I loved that Giles didn't just let his theory about Spike an his chip drop here like he did in the show. It always bothered me that he seemed to hold onto the anger after Spike dismissed him the first time. It was almost like he took his ball and went home after Spike didn't immediately grab ahold of hi olive branch.
I mean where was his watcherly patience.

The thing that i always dug about Buffy and Spike is that they seemed to understand each other (maybe at times they didnt want to but...) in a way that no one else got either of them.

While you made that understanding much more obvious than any ponit during the show, I feel like you still hit the more subtle nuances of that understanding.

I love this so much - have read it several times. Love the friendship turned to lovers. Loved Lorne in this story. Love how they fight together as partners and equals. Wish Buffy had officially broken up with Riley sooner. Love Angel's line near the end to Riley that he doesn't have a chip; just a soul, same as his. Beautiful.

I love everything that you have written and this story was no exception. It was so entertaining and engaging from start to finish. You really know how to keep the right balance of angst and joy to keep the story interesting and compelling. I love your ability to speak so clearly and accurately in the voices of the various characters - you capture them flawlessly. My one critique would have been to ask what happened to Dawn, but you fixed that up with a reference toward the end. Please keep producing more stories. I am utterly gleeful at the prospect of reading more of your writing, but the stories are so good that often I would rather read one of your stories again then some of the new stuff I find.

wow. so that's what happens when these two get together and claim each other huh? wow. now, not that i didn't love the story because god knows i did, i'm just wondering if you're gonna maybe add another part to this. i would love to see how it goes from here. i mean, when is buffy gonna tell spike she loves him? and how does it all work out? at least now, with spike in her life this way, she can actually go do college. and what about dawn? anyway, i was wondering is all. but i did love the story. both of them actually. keep it up.

This story was sweet with a side of humor and a taste of smut. What a wonderful combination. I really dislike a story with no comedic barb or sarcasim to it. Once again Reilys character flaws shined right though his stupid exterior. I think Buffy and Spikes relationship moved along at a great pace. It was almost too healthly. I really enjoyed reading this story. This is the first story I have ever followed chapter by chapter. I usually just wait until they are completed. But I really enjoyed the experience of reviewing chapter by chapter and so I think I will be reading more WIP.
