The start was very hard to read for me. I wanted to know first where this is heading before I rally start reading. I'm glad about Buffy's reaction to what Riley did. (Giles being helpful too.) ~ What a coincidence for Dawn just to watch this film. She seems to be suspicious what happened to Spike. Now lets hope that she won't let Riley in. ~ Don't I love protective Joyce :) Riley will be in trouble *hopefully*

this line was great! it shows how buffy's concern for spike mixes with her disgust for riley...

i just loved the dialogue between the two of them. spike's whispered question, 'What’s wrong, luv?', made my heart break. how she blames herself for not knowing (and not being able to prevent), how he kinda comforts her. the 'i'll protect you from humans, but against the demons you're on your own' bit made me smile. buffy manages to offer protection without damaging his already battered self-esteem...

oh my! i misses the warnings, so the rape scene took me by surprise and it was even harsher like that...

i should confess, i didn't stop to review before cuz i really needed to know that things were getting a little better at least. now that i'm breathing again, i must tell you did good on this chapter. it was terse and crude, and you dealt with spike's feelings pretty well.

Loved it! Very sick and twisty how Riley's still getting off on his power trip. Love that Joyce is concerned about both Buffy and knows that Riley must have hurt Spike. Love the interplay at the end between our fabulously blond duo. More soon, please?!?!

I was very much upset and disturbed with the first chapter. Now you made me cry! I felt every pain and humiliation that Spike felt. It is better that Giles understood him and gave him compassion even to a vampire like him. The way i see it humans and demons are the same. They are both capable of doing a heinous crime soul or without soul. Buffy is soooo blind to cling to the notion that a soul could make a difference in a man.

Oh thank goodness Spike had the courage to go and tell Giles, and that Giles was sympathetic. Typical Buffy to barge in all guns blazing, but I hope she gives Riley what he deserves... and that they make sure Spike is safe from reprisals!

I was so so hoping that Giles would be there and would be sympathetic and realize that something was very very wrong... I won't be able to stand it if he does his usual, "Spike is a bloody bastard, get out of my house" speil. Even if it's not Buffy or Dawn or Joyce right away, I'd like at least GILES to be on his side. After all, they are father and son :) *wink*... though not for another year, if you go by canon. :P
