Punishment huh? Might I suggest a nice humiliating spanking? Actually, I loved that Buffy was sitting on the other side of the door laughing. It shows that she's not as broken as Spike might of thought she was. Yes, she's sad and hates being a captive, but she IS the Slayer and she's built of sterner stuff so I think she can handle a bit of stress and punishment from this Master Vamp and still give him a run for his money in a fight. More please.

I'm glad that Elise made Buffy feel a bit better now. I wonder what's behind 'haven't killed anybody'. Buffy can indeed use a friend there. But it sounds with blocking the door Buffy got herself in trouble now, deep trouble indeed! Looking forward to more :)

This chapter really shows that Elise is a vampire that defies set definition that Buffy has been taught as a slayer. I'm glad that Buffy has a friend in Elise and may need her friendship to cope with her situation as a captive to "William The Bloody".

Spike's every move to dominate Buffy seem to backfire with unexpected results. He wants her cowed but not broken and the blocking of the door only seems to show just how Buffy is fighting back even though she is scared.

Buffy crying and begging to be released seems to trigger Spike's possessive side even though he refuses to acknowledge his need for her.

As heartbreaking as Buffy's pain is to be freed and begging Spike to be released all the while being defiant and not giving up hope by looking out the window of her prison, it all serves to make her stronger and discover her hidden strengths.

What a cat and mouse game this battle of emotions is for them both, soon the lines of hunter and hunted may blur and they both will not know who has a greater advantage over the other. I look forward to the next chapter to see what happens once Spike is able to reach Buffy.

I actually thought it was kinda sweet. Well except for Buffy screaming I wanna go home! But Spike is really beside himsefl. He wasn't so bad for her to be happy there in captivity and he just doesn't get that captivity and happiness rarely go hand in hand. Poor besotted Spike. More please. Love it!

Wonderful story and characterization!! Don't apologize for the angst. Being kidnapped and held against your will SHOULDN'T lead right to warm fuzzies feelings. Your portrayal of the strong slayer and young innocent girl are spot on. Love your Spike too - bad, just not 'to the bone' and definitely warming up to our girl. And I hope you keep Elise in a significant role in the story - what a sweetie!
