I love the start to this fic. I chuckled when I read "There’s nothing like Cape Cod in the summer.” Damn right, nothing like being stuck on route 3 trying to get to cape cod! Plus the whole looking like spike could be fun until he revealed his yankees shirt!

Yep, clearly I'm from Boston! I will never forget where I was on Oct 27, 2004!!!

So will we get a Patriots fic next? That would be sweet.

Author's Response: I was lucky b/c I lived on the Cape so I never had to deal with the traffic going down to it. However, I did have to deal with the oh so boring winters when the place was virtually dead. I'm not sure about the Pats - I'm not as into football though I do love Brady. We'll see if I get inspired in the fall!

Yay! Red Sox fic! I can't tell you how flipping awesome this is. I have family living in Boston, and when I finish my degree I plan to move there as well. It's more home for me than where I live now. My friend and I are going up there at the end of May, and she's threatening to wear Yankees gear while in Red Sox territory. I fear for her life :)

Anyway, love the start to this, and i look forward to reading more :)

No baseball fan so no problem reading here :) Oh then it is indeed a big rivalry. The first chapter was fun to read even without knowing baseball. Looking forward to more.

Great start!! I have lived in Boston, New York, and DC, so I love all the references to those areas. I also love a bit a fluff. I have said in reviews before that I appreciate angst, but we live in such an angsty world anyway that it is nice to escape into romance and fluff. Thanks for providing what looks like it is going to be a fun escape.

I'm not a ball fan, or a sports fan really, but fun can be had even if they are for opposite teams, we have it all the time with Hockey her.

Goooo Yankees! Sorry but as a New Yorker it would just be wrong of me to root for the Redsox. LOL. Aah, sweet poetic justice Buffy falling for a Yankees fan. That's what she gets for being a snob. :P

I hope you aren't going to make a Spike a die hard Yankee fan, I mean he seems to be British so I will have a very hard time believing that he is some hard core baseball fan. I mean sure a casual fan of the game if he's been in the country for a while but I would find it hard to believe that he would be a hardcore fan. Now if it was cricket, rugby or most likely football (the real one:)) then I could buy it but I doubt you can find many british people who are avid fans of baseball.

Author's Response: I did think of that since most British people don't like baseball so I will give an explanation as to why he likes it and the Yankees in a later chapter. Hopefully, it's a plausible one.

Ok...

So I was quite wery to even read this fic, because I am a die hard Red Sox fan, born and raised. And I just don't think i could ever date a Yankee fan, hence the t-shirt I own that reads "REAL WOMEN don't date Yankee fans."

But for Spuffy, I am willing to read on! Maybe you can incorporate the t-shirt... it is a prized possession of mine!

I do have to say though, I have Yankee fan friends, and I could argue with them until the cows come home, cause its just so much fun! And one part of my family are Yankee fans, and you better believe some major taunting happens every year.

So... in my rant, if you did catch it, I am going to keep reading, cause I really want to see how you are going to build this relationship!

Author's Response: I'm happy you decided to read. My husband and I are both Red Sox fans and we watch just about all the games together and it's good quality time. There's no way I could have married a Yankees fan. But for someone who looked like Spike, I may be able to make an exception. ;)

However will she get with him now? Being a Yankees fan, that's just not right...lol! I do hope she wouldn't let that bother her too much, though. I'm not a baseball fan, but I couldn't resist checking out this story. I'm liking it so far, can't wait for more=)
