I just read this story today. I don't understand why people think Spike is a jerk at all to Buffy. I thought he was actually pretty nice about it if you ask me. Believe me it could have gotten a lot worse. I probably would have been a lot worse to someone if they lied to like this. LOL Buffy betrayed Spike big time. This wasn't a little lie it was a pretty big lie. He could have gone to prison and lose his career. So, I think Buffy got off easy. I also think that at the heat of the moment you are going to say things you might not before. LIke saying I don't want to ever talk to you again. But Buffy shouldn't have given up so easily. If she really wanted to talk to him and explain things then she should have went to his house or something. I know she tried calling but I don't think that was good enough. You need to talk to them face to face. And what Spike said to Buffy was true. Teenagers always think they are adults. Playing a grown-up game. But they are not and when an adult tells them this. They might say it hurtful but that is probably because they are hurt themselves. So, I just don't see Spike being a jerk to Buffy at all and I don't think he really did any wrong.

Author's Response: thank you. I was truly taken back when I had someone write that they weren't even going to bother finishing this story because they believed he was to harsh on her. I kinda stopped working on it for like a hmmm... year. but i'm back and I'm just glad there are people who still care about it.

ok, now i didn't get this whole chapter except for Buffy finding out Spike and Fred have broken up (thank God ,for good i hope) but nothing was said about them ,their feelings for each other or any kind of future possibilities, this chapter was rather vague and beat around the bushy ,kinda , or maybe i'm just dense , or it's to early in the morning , i don't know i guess i need more to figure it out. Update soon , i really love this fic.

Author's Response: I want it to be vague and there are bushes to be beat!! I just don't think that it's in good taste that Fred's toothbrush is still in the bathroom and he's talking futures with Buffy . JMHO
