Uh-huh.. tests? That doesn't sound good if you think of that this tests are connected with the Council.
Oh Giles got Spike's promise not to date Buffy. Not good... if he doesn't explain that his was Giles' wish Buffy will take the rejection from Spike wrong.
Two weeks vacation? Have fun! Though I miss the updates especially after this chapter, it leaves me wondering how Buffy will react.

Seems as though Spike has lived a lot longer, then the seventeen years, he appears to be. I do hate Giles meddling like that. What, Buffy's not allowed a love life because she's the slayer? Shit happens to most relationships. Not everyone is lucky enough to find their soul mate. Besides, sometimes you need to rummage through the trash to find a treasure. Will Giles be giving this warning to every potenial love interest? I think not! He's using Spikes sense of honor, in a most heinous way!

I do love that Angel's not here to mess with her head. Spike is wonderful here, level headed and mature, though you know we all what him to break his promise to Giles, it wouldn't be a Spuffy fic if he didn't!

Author's Response: I have another pass at the English intro, and at that time I can just waitlist and bug the professor with random excerpts from classics until she/he lets me in. So no big. :) I got like half the classes I wanted (Psych 1, Poli Sci 1) and half that were just open (Geo 25, NAS 10). Author's Response: (some technical difficulties have made this three responses) I just love reviewers who talk about the story like you just did because it makes the story much easier to write. Giles is exploiting Spike; if it was, say, Owen or Billy, he wouldn't even bother speaking to them because he knew they wouldn't listen to him at all. It's nice to see that Giles respects Spike enough to just tell him flat, though. Spike is mature, cool, level-headed; I'm making almost the opposite characterization of Spike as I did in my last story. You're definitely right about most relationships; why else would there be fifty million songs on heartache? (^_^) And I'll be sure to email you when I get the next chapter done. Thank you so much for reviewing. :D

What!!!!!! Spike just give in to what Giles wants just like that. That doesn't sound like Spike. Spike would have said forget you and get his girl. I hating Spike for giving in just so easily.

I don't read a lot of high school stories. But why does it seem like almost every high school story that I read. Has Xander obsess with Buffy. I like it when Xander is in love with his own girl. I don't like Xander obsess with Buffy. I always thought that he was better than that. but it is your story so write it the way you want to.

I hope spike has a friend somewhere in story besides buffy. He needs someone to care about him.

Author's Response: He doesn't know her all that well yet. He feels they have some connection, but he has lived his own life away from Buffy for seventeen years. I'm trying to stray away from the "you complete me" that I see in so many high school fics. As far as Xander, I'm definitely not heading in the direction of Xander in the way. I want Spike to help Xander with his obsession. And, this is only season two, remember, so I think it's safe to say he is still obsessed with her. I know that it gets sort of dicey in six and seven (although it explains some of his motives) but a recurring theme of seasons one and two is Xander's obsession over Buffy, which is partially why the culmination of Becoming Part 2 is so brilliant. But he's going to be much more of a character, trust me. And Spike will have lots of friends. ^_^
