Spike is brilliant! I think it's a great idea that he hang out at school with Hannah, maybe with him around Fred will notice Kathy's cruel behavior. The end of the chapter was wonderful, I love when Buffy is playful and naughty. :D Fantastic update!

Hannah has a bad timing. Seems she took Mary's and Alyssa's behavior very bad, fearing to go to school again. I think Spike's idea is a good one; knowing that Spike is around will help her (at last I hope that).

You've been doing a wonderful job on this fic and I’ve been enjoying it very much. It has a great plot line with all the elements present a good story needs... conflict, budding romance, character insecurities, flaws and the like. Setting this aside, I’d like to offer some constructive criticism, so please do not take anything personally because you really are doing a great job here and I hate flamers with every fiber of my being. It’s a very small, and yes – somewhat insignificant bone of contention in the larger picture of things I have about your stories in general and the rating you assign to it – setting aside any story that includes abuse or rape.

I only read NC17 fics and it’s because I expect – though it doesn’t always happen – to read about sexual situations at a certain graphic-related level and that doesn’t necessarily include the use of words like cock/pussy etc. I’ve noticed, though, that you’ve only managed to gloss over the subject and merely allude to it. And that’s fine if that’s what you’re after/your intention and you want it to be more about the story. In saying that, I don’t feel (just a personal opinion) this as a story is truly NC17 under the site’s definition as such, it feels more like an 18 to me. 18 is mild sexual content; innuendos, implied sexual content, etc whereas NC17 may contain graphic sexual situations. I’m not picking on you, not at all, but last chapter you left us with this awesome cliffie and I fully expected to read what exactly was going to happen, so I was disappointed that you skipped it entirely. I thought wait a minute – where did it go?

Your writing skills are very good and I have no doubt that if you chose to, you could write a lovely intimate scene with a bit more detail. If you’re uncomfortable with it I understand, many authors are, but because you obviously have talent as a writer, I know you’re more than capable of it (that’s meant as a compliment). I for one want to be sucked into the moment when our fav couple do actually come together and feel what it is they’re feeling, have a clear picture of and see what is going on in the room be it smutty or romantic styled making love -especially when it’s their first time, because that’s a monumental act to me of mutual trust to take that step in a relationship. I realize that sex in any story is but a small part but I also believe it deserves its fair share of attention as well - this precludes if you have abuse/rape written into it which requires you to rate it as NC17. The reason why I’m bringing this up and yes I realize it may seem petty to some, is because when a story is rated as NC17, it carries with it a certain expectation from the reader’s pov. I for one highly encourage your muse to delve a bit deeper and expand upon their intimate experience in the literary sense and it doesn’t have to written with crude words or anything like that if you’re simply not comfortable with it. I hope what I had to say didn’t offend you because it’s not meant to, only to get you thinking.



Author's Response: Wow, think this is the longest review I've gotten so far. First of all, thanks for reviewing, I'm happy to hear that you're enjoying my story, and no, I don't feel offended at all. I'm sorry if you feel disappointed though, but you should know that the story is not over yet. I rated this fic NC-17 because there will be sexual contents in the story, then if you still won't think it's enough, I don't know. Sex will never be the main thing in my stories, not because I feel uncomfortable writing it, but because I choose to focus on other things first. But you're right, sex is important as well, and there will be more. But I have this story finished in my head, and I won't change anything now. Thank you for your opinion, it was both interesting and appreciated.
