Awww, sweetie, this chapter was so vivid and heartbreaking. You made me cry along with Buffy. And I'm very happy it seems Anya and Spike are on their way to a speedy recovery or so I hope. Can't wait for more.

Buffy's gonna be pissed that hers was not the first pt. of Slayer blood that Spike received. Of course, blood from Dru would actually probably be the best---Sire's blood, after all...and Buffy would have a complete cow were that to happen! Tho' I wouldn't put it past Dru to wander up...
Loving this fic...you always leave us craving more.
Re: "Viv"---don't you mean "Vi"? Strange kinda shy gal, wore a funny striped cap, had med-short reddish/auburn hair, American?
Re: Martin & medical stuff: some field medics & Special Forces field medics attend (or at least USED to attend {'Nam era especially}) what is "called" "Goat School"; the field medic is given a goat, or etc, ie type of animal, usually of which can approximate human wounds & injuries. Traumatic Injuries are purposely inflicted upon the animal, such as setting the goat on fire, breaking limbs/bones, causing lacerations/knife wounds, gunshot/ammo wounds/ie projectiles, etc: and the medics job is to get that "goat" back to base camp/field hospital any way they can ALIVE. Now, if this is incorrect info, it was recounted to me by Army and SF trained docs, Pa's, medics and Navy corpsmen/medics/docs (that knew of or had been told this). I thought it pertinent to the handling of both Anya and especially Spike's injuries.
Re: "...The giving sets..." that should probably read "...the I.V. set-ups were fixed ..."
Re: "...the ’s immoral ..." should probably read "...the Initiative’s amoral..."
Actually it IS kinda nice to see Riley and Sam depicted as, well, NICE. So often we love to really hate Riley as a villain in a fic.
Anyway, loving it, please update more and SOON!!!
Thanks!

Author's Response: never heard of goat skill and in The UK they are giving sets in slang, two countries, and two languages even when they share so many words. thanks for the close reading. more soon

Mmmm they are really prepared to take care of the wounded. Poor Buffy... she still takes Spike being wounded so bad hard but she can be really glad they have him back now, still unlive.
So Anya made it, Xander will be happy now. And good idea to get some slayer's blood for Spike, he needs all the help he can get.
One important step of the journey is done now with the two back.
Enjoyed :)

Author's Response: thanks for all your reviews they really make my day
