Loved it just the way it was. Great ending. A nice change of pace.

I know you're a very experienced writer and personally I love all your stories, so I hate that you have to justify what you've written and how you've done it. Of course anyone with half a brain knows that if you're not writing a fic set in the normal verse (eg Buffy is slayer, Spike is vamp) they're not going to be the same characters, and something that I love about fanfiction is that MOST of the time, the characters are going to be written differently. That's the whole point - writing fanfic so that you can have the characters how you like them, and have them do the things you wish them to. I know it sounds redundant to say 'don't take people's comments personally' because every fic author does, it is after all something you've created and put out there for people to read/judge/comment on, but just so you know I'm fairly certain the majority of your readers love your work, no matter where it goes, because even if it doesn't lead somewhere you thought it was going to or if something happens that shocks/dismays you at first, there is generally always a happy ending. Obviously people just sometimes forget that.
Sorry I didn't mean to blather on that much.
Anway, as for this story, I loved it just like I love all your fics and it stayed strong right through to the end. You should be congratulated on your skill and efforts, so...congratulations lol :). I hope to see another fic from you soon

Oh, I have this image in my head of Spike just sitting with her body for two days, miserable paranoid...how horrifying. But, now I'm happy! It worked out like I needed it to. :) Fantastic story, Addie. Beautiful written and well plotted and a very, very satisfying ending.

Amazing story, as always, Addie. Chapter 21 was wonderful, so powerful and intense! I had a feeling that Buffy would ask Spike to turn her.. and you know what? It's not a bad thing as long as she was the one who asked.. and wasn't forced into it at all. And even better that Spike was actually refusing to do so in the first place.

All in all, I think it's wonderful. Their love is so deep that nothing really matters as long as they're together, forever. Also, who's to say that 'vampires' are all evill and bad? Even 'in canon' we have prove that they do have feelings and capable of goodness. Who's to say that all 'humans' are saints and good? We all know they're not.. ;)

I think it was perfect the way you wrote it. I totally agree you can't write canon unless Buffy is a slayer. I also like that she asked him to do it and Spike was kind of reluctant. Can't wait to read your next.

I never expected til last chapter, and it was very nice to have it come out okay, with no angst. Great job, as always!

That ending was awesome. While reading the story it never actually crossed my mind that she would want and pursue becoming a vampire. I'm glad that people like you are still out there writing stories that surprise me. Thanks so much for the great story!

Always knew they would end this way. Still so many questions about what they are going to become. What will this Buffy be like as a vampire. The set-up was so eloquent, I can't wait for the release. Amazing chapter.

This will be either the best or the worst possible ending of this story. I'll be thankfull both ways simply because I've been able to read it.

I can understand why that was so draining to write. It was emotionally exhausting to read it. You could feel Spike's sorrow at her request and Buffy's desperation not to lose him. Awesome, haunting & yet beautiful writing.

that was painful, really, really painful. it was full of emotion and depth. was he thinking of his mother when he refused to turn her? he wanted it and yet, dreaded it. it was so painful to read. i realise i'm repeating myself but i can't think of a word to say how i feel. i'll review again when i can. i hope it does not go sappy or too sugary from here. i'm not sure what i want to happen, but i think i trust you to make it good. i've already said that i don't generally like buffy-vampire stories but i hope this will turn out so much better. you are an amazing writer. this is an amazing story. please update.
