The last few chapters were kinda difficult to read, but still worth it. I'm glad you didn't suddenly veer into storybook fairyland for the sake of a more conventional ending. Great story.

What a heart wrenching, dramatic chapter. Spike reliving his last carefree time with a warm, living Buffy even as he's turning her had me feeling great sympathy for the choice they've both made.

Thhis made me laugh out loud: "“That isn’t a hickey, Buffy. Those are very definite puncture wounds. So unless Spike likes to do something kinky with a barbecue fork, you’re banging the undead.” Excellent Anya voice, and the canon barbecue fork story shout out was stellar.

Starting out on such a light note, and the turning the story dark again worked well. It's not that Spike wanted to kill Riley, but now Buffy's going to have to realize she's sleeping with a murderer.

I personally loved how you wrote the story. Spike, Buffy, the entire storyline... I loved it all!
I am glad you had Spike turn Buffy in the end, it was what had to happen and it was nice to see a change in the regular Spuffy storylines.
Excellent work, another amazing story!!

I got woefully behind on this entertaining story, and what a chapter to continue with. Spike is so nurturing and romantic, like Buffy I was lulled into believing him the perfect boyfriend. You deftly turned that notion upside down, he's also a murderous, violent predator. How is Buffy going to explain this away? It's not just a sun allergy that makes Spike different.

Spike was lucky, Buffy is indeed 'the same' as she was before. So it turned out well :)

I'm glad that Buffy isn't assuming the worst how Riley died. But she knows now of the other killings.. yeah, really a wake up call but not of the good kind.
The question of the question now... how will Spike react? And isn't Buffy taking the easy way out? She would be killing people too. *on to the next chapter*

ok i know buffy will be mad but seeing as there is 22 chapters and i know a fight between them would last longer i'm gonna hope for the best. plus spike has burn evidence. it's self defence darn it.....;)

Just read the story from back to front and I have to say, Addie Logan you are an amazing writer. After all, a pritate's life for me is one of my favourite fan fictions ever, but this story absolutely engrossed me from beginning to end. I wish i could convay people's emotions as easy as you seem to be able to, you make this whole 'emotive words' marlarkly look easy. I was surprised by Buffy getting turned but not shocked. I absolutely loved Rileys demise, he totally deserved it for the way he treated Spike. Also, i liked the way it was a btvs fan fiction that didnt need all the characters to be a good, actually amazing, story. I loved Anya's insight on vampires, she kept me laughing. Plus, Buffy's 'what next, Willow dating a werewolf' thought cracked me up. Ok this review is getting way too long, but i still dont think it displays the applause this story needs. Love the story.
