Boy do they ever have their work cut out for them with this hall. But of course it'll be no surprise once it's up to standards. Love all those tender moments with little Nordlys, and of course William and Buffy finally got a night for themselves. I loved this look into the start of William and Buffy's life together. It was very enjoyable to see Buffy whipping her hall into shape. Fantastic chapter! :D

The cultural differences that are coming out are really interesting. There are still some prejudices to overcome, but then there are always ignorant people even within the same cultural groups, aren't there? Thanks for the update. Hope more is coming soon.

I loved it as always. Thank God Buffy is actually the kind of woman who likes hard work, because it seems there'll be a lot more before their hall is a productive one, but together I guess they'll overcome all the problems and hopefully that man talking badly of Buffy won't stay there for long. Too bad... if the Saxons had sails with them the booth would have been such a good idea.
Godwin made the rattle, right? Comes in handy if you don't forget those things, even after all the time.
Any other women would have been difficult with this new /(old) hall. Buffy can work and build something. William does know now lucky he is.
I'm glad for them that even if they are working hard they still have some time for themselves (even if they have to steal it).
Hope these Col won't be a danger for them.
Still a lot of work to do in the hall / for the new hall.

He has some making up to do, though, letting her wake up on her own. Lucky her - the making up, I mean. :)
It seems that William is aware of her status among her people, but needs to be reminded that she sees herself as equal among his, too. This will raise eyebrows, I'm sure, when she expresses herself in the male-only political and business arenas. But she's just the woman to do it and do it well. They will prove to be a formidable force, the two of them, and the best place for them now is on the border.
