There is something special between Dawn and Dusk (heh.. the names fit, didn't notice that before) but I'm not sure what. So maybe Dawn is the one connected to what will happen. I got the part with the shadows now. It's a neat ability. ~ Looking forward to more :)

Good start :) I like the introduction of Alex 'Dusk'. Not sure what that prophecy (= the summary, it sounds like one) will bring (sounds as if the 'young girl' still has to arrive) but the start (first chapter) was very interesting.
