My hat off to you! I hardly ever ready post-series fics, because I hate wrapping my mind around season 7, but this one sucked me in. The SITs were not annoying, the original characters were wonderful, and Spike and Buffy were perfect. I also loved the fact that Spike shanshued, but got vamped again, because I'm selfish and love him as a vamp!

They won :) Joy is indeed grown; Spike missed a lot. She'll have to learn what to say to him now. ;-) She'll take time to get used to have a dad that will complain about her boyfriends/dates *g*. But it would be truly helpful to be able to make fire when it comes to vamps.
Ah Joy and Will were watching Moonlight? Haven't seen this one yet. ~ Grown-up stuff? Good excuse :) Though I wonder too where Spike has been all this long years if he wasn't checking on Buffy what wasn't often.
Good to know that they are back together again, the whole Pratt Family. (I wonder if Buffy had Spike pronounce dead / he has a death certificate, is officially dead. Otherwise they are still married legally anyway.) But so much wasted time...
Enjoyed reading. It was good to know the story had a happy end (and that I could read all the chapters one after another); hard to read the first chapters without it (for me). ;-)
BTW: The story was marked as unfinished when I read the last part :)

Oh no... sadly clever of Dru to get a hold on the children. Too late now... Sadly for Lucy too, she got turned. Maybe Joy will be save for a moment but Will... even if he was able to defend himself against Lucy, Dru will be another case; this will be harder. He can thank his father for getting away... too late for Dru to have regrets she tried to take Spike children from him.
Bad luck for Angelus... he underestimated Buffy (thought she killed Spike and how she would take to have her children hurt/killed). Now he had to face Spike.. bad luck indeed. Good to know that Joy is safe now too.
The Pratts make a good team (children included).
PS: There is no epilogue yet (Ch. 14) at last just in this moment. (Chapter title)

Spike doesn't like to stay behind after he was gone for so long... but at last they've found the house. Well Buffy and Faith can be glad that Spike went with them down to the basement. One of them would be dead if he hadn't. After that message I don't think Angelus and Dru will come back to the house. *shudder* That could have been Joy. It looks indeed bad for Lucy.
It looks like as if Buffy and Spike are getting along better now. Because of the pressure from the outside I guess, it makes them stick together for a 'bigger reason' (their children). Maybe it will work in the favor to bring them more together again. If Spike can forgive Buffy what she took from him (it's not as if they could have another child and what's gone is gone = the past of Will and Joy won't come back for Spike to see).
Buffy accused Spike that he didn't say were he went to? That's rich. Spike did indeed what Buffy wanted.
You might have waited around to see if I really wanted it Well that's a totally different case. But how should Spike have known? On the other hand if Buffy had talked about this with her friends Spike would have get to know (Xander). So she could have spared them some miserable years. Must hurt to think about that, huh?
Well the door was closed so even if Spike smelled Lucy that shouldn't be a danger. Except if she got turned and will be back at the school later...
