LOVE the way you ended it! Really enjoyed your fic!
It was fun to "see" Spike's inpatience, and amazing that he was as patient, overall, as he ended up being.
The Giles-Spike cloak & dagger interaction, of hiding their true intent, was a hoot; plus it was great to see Giles back in the nigh-fathering role again.

A great Story! I like your characterisation of Giles. He is back in England, back to Tweed and nice but a lot more tolerant. I hope this will be a "Happy ending story " - but it is your story :-)

Author's Response: Thank you so much. Nothing makes me happier than to see that somebody thinks I've 'nailed' a characterisation. I think of Giles as trying to put himself back together, gather in all his many facets - the Watcher, the father-figure, the head of the council - and Ripper :) And hey - I'm happy ending girl all the way, just bear with me...Next chapter up either tonight or tomorrow, hope you enjoy.

I Think this is a great basis for a story, and there's a lot of potential there. But I also think that the Giles characterization is pretty far off... more of what he was like season one, not season seven. The bumbling and tweed was mostly gone by then... but other than that, I like the story. Please keep it up.

Author's Response: Hi there. Thank you for your concrit which is always welcome. I agree that Giles has regressed slightly - but that was my intention. I'm picturing him trying to fit into his old world, but with the things he's experienced altering him. So, he's trying on the tweed and the bumble but trying to deal with the hard reality of what's gone on before. Then Spike arriving makes him all confused and he reverts to his comfortable old ways. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story, nonetheless and thanks once again. It's always useful to have comments on characterisation. Thank you.

Loved this beginning and I can't wait to see Buffy's response to Spike's reappearance. I'm thinking that it may not be too positive but you're the writer and I'm just the reader and this reader can't wait for more.
