Interesting... Buffy went to school because she thought Spike wouldn't want her to stay the day there; and Spike assumed she would be gone because she didn't want to stay. Would be interesting if these two would really talk ;-)

Oh, a new chapter! :) Liked the inteaction between Spike and Buffy a lot. Really sweet...
So, Joyce is a vamp-believer now. Hopefully she understands more now... I feel sorry for Buffy, she seems to feel lost, like she doesn't fit in anywhere. I'm glad that Spike "stays" with her. She needs a lot of training before they can fight Angelus and Dru.

I love the flow of this story. The sentiments, the reactions, the interactions are all so in character, it's as if I can actually see everything developing in front of my eyes.
And what's best, I had the luxury of reading this update on a Sunday, at home, while having some hot chocolate, leisurely enjoying it instead of having to look over my shoulder for that bloody trainee (and I swear, his smile is eternal! Nothing fazes the guy! I have him running up and down just to get him off my feet and he's still grinning like a loon!!!)

That didn't really went well but it could have been worse. Good that Spike was with Buffy otherwise maybe she wouldn't have snapped out of it.

Oh, I held my breath while I was reading, it was so exciting, sweetie! :) Well done! When she fled, I thought she was going after Angelus, not going to her watcher's house. The rape memory was creepy, well written and it seemed realistic.
I can understand why Joyce is acting weird, but maybe she's over-reacting a little. Yeah, I know this is season 1 ;)
Are Giles and Joyce allies? Is that why Buffy can't tell him?
Author's Response: You set my thoughts spinning even more :) I can't remember the name of the one who first brought up the fact that Joyce is over-reacting, but now I can't let it go. Honestly, I think she is acting as she should, seen out of Buffy's perspective (Spike has a different view of it, chapter 6). I'm glad you point this things out to me though :) I'll think about J's "reactions" in the future.

At last Joyce is believing Buffy now. But she still doesn't want a counselor.
Mmmh a fight with Spike hasn't the same use a counselor has but it showed Buffy that she has to train more.
Apparently Joyce noticed something being off with Spike because she turned pale....

Author's Response: Honestly I'm not sure how to response to your review, because I don't understand if you mean it as a statement or something you think is bad. Anyway, I feel the need to tell you how I think. At the moment Joyce plays a very big role in Buffy's life; of course, because she is her mother, but also because Buffy partly accuses her for things that have happened in the past. This will become a bit clearer in chapter 5. I really like Joyce's character, and honestly I think she is reacting like she should. Her daughter has been kidnapped and raped, I think she shall be overprotective and worried. Feel free to tell if you have a different opinion.
