This is a very interesting start, there were quite a few typos, errors with the tenses and grammar but that could easily be addressed with proofreading or sending it to a couple of beta readers. Still it is an interesting beginning, it definitely did what I think all first chapters should do, which is capture the audience, pull them into the story, and hopefully make them want to read more. I shall read more but again I suggest you send it to a couple of betas, I say a couple because one can always catch what the other may have missed. Good luck.

Did you have posted this story before? Maybe a different title? It sounds familiar, the first part when Buffy hit Parker with a lamp and the second part were Buffy did brake for a dog and her car got hit when raining and Spike took her with him in his van. And the luggage on the backseat and Spike knowing someone to fix the car. Could have been two others stories too, I'm reading a lot.
I like the start but I really hope Parker won't get out of jail for good behavior!

Author's Response: Thanks for your review, yeah i have posted this fic before under "Light beyond dark" but i took it down so a Beta could look at it. Will be updating soon.

i find it hard to believe that you have a beta for this story, there are a lot of errors, i would suggest getting a second opinion. for one thing, it's college, not collage, and decent, not descent. just something to think about.

Author's Response: Thank you for your honesty, I will make sure to address these errors. As for my Beta i happen to think she has done a wonderful job compared to what this fic was like when i sent it to her (Spelling & grammar are not my strong points). As for getting a second opinion i think i will stick with my Beta as i think her work is great.

Awesome first chapter!! So much good background and I love the way that Spike is so gentlemanly and they're both swooning over each other. Please post more soon.
