So is this supposed to be the equivalent, dimensionally speaking, of 9 yrs post-Chosen, or post-NFA, or? Was just thinking back---1997 (or 98?) to 2003=(5 or) 6 yrs, or '97-2004 was 7 yrs... were there any auto related accidents in Spike the vampire's recent history (to corollate to Spike the teen)? Or is this a couple years past the above mentioned events in Dru's dimension, totaling 9? Just trying to see the significances, and line up the realities, if there are any alignments.
So is this following the dreaded "three-bite rule" of stage and screen vamps? (Or 4+ death in the Anita Blake 'verse...) I think mebbe I asked you that before?
Poor Spike! And should we be worrying about Pete's date having become vamp chow? Bring Buffy! And hope she can SLAY!

Author's Response: Hi Kara, things in the Jossverse dimension will be explained in the next chapter. It isn't canon in that dimension either as Sunnydale still exists! As for the rules regarding biting - they're my take on it and you'll have to wait to see how things unfold!! LOL! Thanks for reviewing :) More soon.

Okay, so Tara knows about vampires. Interesting. I have to admit it's a bit weird to read about vampires in this story since it's the sequel to an all-human fic, but it's a good kind of weird. Please keep the chappies coming! :)

I had the idea even before CL was finished and had a little play with 'normals' being made aware of the world of demons and such in ALOP. Wow, Mabel, why wasn't I surprised that this Tara was a witch as well? I love her 'net biz! Glad to see another chappie up so quick. Loved her explanation about parallels...and also love it when somebody writes Tara as she should've been (I'd heard Joss wanted to bring her back evil in S7 and Amber had refused to do it, if that's true), as a knowledgeable, useful resource, a strong if quiet woman, sensible, togetther and close to her Wiccan roots and powers. Seems like you've got her spot on. I'd thought at first, since she was with Rich, this Tara was just a filler character, a familiar name to a generic character, perhaps...glad to see otherwise. Will we be seeing Willow? (How wicked a turn could it be for our Willow to see this Tara, should she and Buffy have to fetch a wayward Dru? sorry you've got my mind wandering possible 'parallels' now!) Speaking of, if we have a wayward Dru, any chance of a wayward Slayer coming thru to fetch or stake Dru's skanky ass? Please say yes! (Besides, I think this Spike would have a cow to see that kind of alternate Buffy!) Are we doing the old Hollywood "Love at First Bite" type 'three bites to become a vampire' routine? If so, does Spike have 1 or 2 bites left to go since Dru hacked into his tattoo (awww...that was something, a memory for him to cherish and she messed it up!) So, he still is technically alive; he has a heartbeat, so still pumping blood, but has no reflection in mirrors... not gonna try out holding a bible or cross, a host (not Lorne), Holy water, and he might be feeling the effects of dawn on a vampy schedule already? (or he might just be tired from Dru shagging the daylight(s) right outta him) and what about sunlight affecting him, burning him? Can't really try a stake without possible permanent results, but garlic? And various other anti-vamp remedies and folklore? Will Tara show up supplies in hand to check him out? I gather he has breath the way he was hyperventilating (sounding) in his panic attack???
