Ah unexpected, Spike is still married? Part of what he didn't tell (a secret). So Dru wasn't good (sounds as if she didn't treat Billy right.
Just guessing here - is Dru ill? (Because she didn't sign the divorce papers.)

Now we all know that Buffy and Spike will never be just "friends" but it was good that they stopped doing what they were doing but in a bad way if you know what I mean! Loved the update.

Oh, that was such a lovely chapter. I loved the way that you evoked the tension between them in the 'will they, won't they' at the beginning: Spike unsure whether Buffy would pull away, wanting to be the one to remove her top, and that fact that it was overwhelming for both of them and just a little bit too soon, and so maybe they were relieved it didn't happen. I like the way you're weaving in the complications too. There's something about the two of them that inspires confidence though - can see them working through it (after much angst, no doubt).
On another note, God I'm sorry to hear about your computer issues. I had an accident with a mug of tea and my laptop a few nights ago and nearly had a brain seizure! Really hope you find a way to recover your files. Good luck :)

I love this story so much. But I love all your stories.
I put my trust in you when I wasn't sure that Spike was the one who was hurting Billy. But if he knew about it and did nothing about it. Then I think he is more guilty than the one who was doing it. He let those things happened to innocent child when he could have stop it.
But if Spike is just feeling guilty because he didn't know but still blames himself for Billy being hurt. Then that is understandable. I think most people would feel guilty that they didn't see what was happening in their own home.
So, I really hope that Spike didn't know about it but then got Billy away from there when he found out. Cause letting it happened to your own child is worse in my opinion. And for what, because you are love that other person so much. That makes me want to puke. What about your child that you are suppose to protect and love.
Sorry, for my rant. It is just that story hits close to home. I always thought my mother knew what was happening. But she loved my dad too much. But I don't know.

Yay! V excited when I saw you'd updated. I'm not disappointed at all! I often prefer to see the two of them work out the issues once something has happened rather than have the story leave right at the point when they get together (and we're meant to assume its happily ever after from that point on).
