I like your explanation how the slayers were made :)
Oh right, I forgot that Giles was in England, Spike knew. [And when Spike was "remade" the way the first slayer was, is he a slayer now too?]
One of the chosen? That definitely sounds like a slayer. And yes, Spike is still strong. Strong enough to be a help for Buffy.
