You've got Buffy's characterization, even her thinking 'voice', spot on. Spike's too. Love the comment about her lacy bits (sez the chick who actually owns several items or original WW2 era ladies underthings (including a pair of tap-pantyish styled knickers made from embroidered hankies (3 of them put together by hand; the motto was repair, re-use, recycle, I think)) AND a very sturdy all-in-one,
some quite scary and quite long knickers, & a near
ly---nearly---normal-looking but non-stretchy silk/satin bra that comes nearly to the bottom of my ribcage)!!!
Buffy in some "Land Girl" togs is not something I
ever thought to see. At least she didn't have to don the 'Wellies' to wear with them. I could just SEE Spike lounging languidly against that door leering lecherously (don't try to say that fast) at Buffy dressing on the fly.
I'm glad you brought in the (pre-)Initiative Experiments -with-the-Nazis. Is Buffy gonna spill a few beans about 'em (about the chip even?) to Spike? Why--gasp!--that might change the future! (Of course, god forbid he avoided a chip in his, by it...) Do I hear a 'heads up' warning in his future, re: AYCE Free Virgin's blood party given by said Nazis? Might even be what places him in the right place, right time... arggggh...am giving myself a headache now! (I'm still of the opinion that Spike would have thought it a lovely game to play 'bait-the-Nazis', leading them on a Merry Chase over half of Europe!)

And somehow, I'd bet Buffy's gonna be seeing that locket all over again (well, of course, since she is now pre-'80's-01... gah---headache returning!---and will go on to be born, be a teen, and have it given to her, technically... but somehow I'm betting it comes down thru the family somehow (again?) to Joyce, and then her (then BACK to Aurora, then... then..ack!) What was that line in Star Trek IV about the beauty of hocking something in one time being loving it all over again in your own (later) ???

Yeah, Spike was the one who could have killed Buffy at any time during the early encounters. She only survived because of interuptions, first of which was of course Joyce giving Spike's noggin a floggin with an axe just before he ended her with a giant sized wooden support beam.

So Spike has a hard time to believe, huh?
I forgot about the locket; I wonder when (in time) Buffy will see it again.
Professor Walsh? That was unexpected. So the Professor is longer 'in the game' than I thought. Seems the vampires will get saved after all. Maybe including Joy.

Sorry I've fallen behind with the reviews, I've been a bit busy lately and only just had a chance to catch up with the latest updates! Anyway... I'm beginning to think it wasn't getting Joy out of France that was so important, but the rescue of young Aurora... which means Dawn...
So they have to go back to France... then have sex (YAY!) before Buffy can get home. I wonder what she'll remember...

Well no problem with the connection, only with the admission to their benefactors. Will Spike keep their sexual liason a secret or blab that they have jumped that hurdle? Also, since the fate of the world depended on Buffy making a journey to her past, does their destiny hinge on their her influence on events that tie into their mutual future? Seems like a big ordeal to endure to just to fail at returning the current slayer of the time. Look forward to more.
