God never mind the police , which yeah she definitely must go ,but right now she needs counseling more. she needs to speak to someone about this. Pandie I love ya and your story but did u have to bring crazy as a bat Dru into the picture , i get the feeling that alot of what's happening has to do in some small way with Buffy's predicament, like making poor choices in dates trying to get over her unacknowledge feelings for Spike? Is unacknowledged a word ? i'm not sure, that's why i can't write and depend on u to do so instead. This story is heartwrenching kiddo , a real winner.

Author's Response: Glad you're liking this story. As depressing as it is, it still feels really good to write. I feel a little bad about dragging Dru into things, but I knew I was gonna do that from the start. I guess I just couldn't resist making things even more complicated than they already are. Definitely agree that Buffy needs counseling. She's a mess. At some point, she's gonna have to talk about what went down at the club. Might come out fairly soon, at least some of it, if not all. Mild spoiler alert: the full story of her night will cause a little bit of contention between Spike and another member of their group, plus we'll find out the deal with the missed call on Spike's phone. Hope I have time to work on this story again soon, but the whole work thing is gonna make things a bit harder. Thanks for the review!

i think spike is handling the situation as well as he can. and the characterisation of buffy is brilliant, right down to the scoulding hot shower. I'm just waiting for her to scrub herself with bleach to try and get clean. i don't read many W-I-P's cause i get involved, then nothing...but this one is brilliant

I don't know how much time I'll have to write now that I'm starting a new job, but I'm hoping I'll still be able to make plenty of time. Ah Dr. Walsh. This remark was not what Buffy needed (and bad for a doctor in her position to voice).
Very stubborn of Buffy not to go to the police. I've read how hard it is to do that (go to trial) and how bad it can end (the rapist getting away because of a good lawyer). But no rapist should go away.
Looking forward to if Spike can convince Buffy. Sadly Spike will be very tired by now. Bad for him in his situation.

Very powerful story and the descriptions of what everyone is feeling is great without being over the top. I am upset about Buffy saying no when it's possible her not saying anything could mean the rapist has the opportunity to harm another girl, but I'm sure it makes sense to her at the moment. I'm looking forward to seeing how this story progresses and the relationship between Buffy and Spike get strained and heal and build into something new.
