Well, I guess midnight brings out the writer in you. haha I love this story. I always look forward to it. My heart breaks for them both but especially Spike. He seems so lost and broken. William is such a sweetheart and deserves to be love but he seem like he deserves more than Dru. He deserves a whole lot more. He can back to singing if he wants to. Also, he is a writer so he can try to sell his work. I love stories when they have Spike/William as a writer or singer. You have him as both so that is double the goodness. Please update when you can.

William is just a shadow of the man that is portrayed in the photo album. The time he has spent in a dead marriage has well and truly smothered the life out of him. Buffy should take to heart the person that William has become, stuck in a rut with no desire to move on with his life beyond his marriage. Complacency, despair and insecurity are now his companions and the weird part is that he seems to shoulder the responsibility of what went wrong with his marriage. What the hell? Buffy should point out the fact that his marriage has long been laid to rest with no hope of him breathing any life back into it. William for some reason is mourning and moping over what could have been and is held prisoner by his own sense of guilt the he is the catalyst of Drusilla’s infidelities. Seeking solace with each other may be the trick for both William and Buffy to shed their reasons for staying in a love-less marriage. Looking forward to the next chapter.


Author's Response: Ya its sad. This story is kind of hard to write because William is so weak and fragile. Nothing like Spike anymore. As for Buffy, well....she's going to make a lot of mistakes before things get better...she may drag William down with her in the process... Thanks for the long review. I like long reviews :)

and I adored your inner William dialogue. Can't wait to see how you develop his character further and his past with Dru.

See, I say plot -and I mean plot, but another part of me just means William/Spike goodness.

One chapter in and so far I really like the use of Wolfram and Hart as the setting as well as the mix of character I see coming. This looks very promising. :)

I am scared that Buffy will break Williams heart after she helps him, by trying to patch things up with Angel. I loved the coaxing buffy did to get his story. Great chapter, I will a wait the next one lol.

Aww...well at least now we know what's going on with William. I knew he wasn't like that...just knew it in my gut, but I was afraid anyway! I hope that they can for a strong bond!
