*sobs* You're a meanie! lol Buffy shows up and breaks his heart all over again *sniffles* It was a great chapter though :) Had me all tied up in knots.

I couldn't believe Buffy was engaged to someone else already! She don't waste no time. I want to kick her butt for hurting poor Spike.

I know I'm supposed to root for them to get together...but I find myself hoping that some other woman will see how a man capable of so much passion and love is a good man to have. Buffy doesn't deserve him, IMO

I'm more of a Spike fan than a Buffy fan - can you tell? lol

I really don't think Spike was a jerk at all. He caught his girlfriend cheating so of course he is going to react pissed off. I can't blame the guy for that and Buffy shouldn't either. She was kissing someone else and not just anyone but her ex. How would she react if she saw Spike kissing someone else especially if it was his ex. But I do think Spike is being pathetic. I love that he is love's bitch I always had. That is one of the reasons why I adore Spike so much. But he needs to know that life doesn't end because one person broke your heart. He needs to learn that he has to live for himself. He needs to look at Buffy and see that she is living her live and being happy with someone else. Why does she get to be happy and not him. Don't let her win and take everything away from you. He has a great friend in Oz. He has this record company that wants him to make music. Which anybody would would love to have. He is a hot. LOL You know he isn't afraid to express his feelings. He is a catch. What woman wouldn't want him. But I really do hope that Spike learns to live by himself and know that you don't need anybody to be happy. You can do that by yourself. I recently had a broken heart too. I'm almost over it. But my favorite song to listen to while healing is the song Better In Time by Leona Lewis. It is so true. It does get better in time. This part especially helped me.

I'm going to smile because I deserve too. I do hope that Spike learns that before Buffy comes back. That he learns to he can live without Buffy. That he doesn't need her to be happy. If she doesn't want him. What can he do. He can just live his life and be happy.


I love that song so much. She sings so beautifully too.

As for Buffy, I'm really not liking her too much. She cheats on Spike with Angel. Then doesn't really feel sorry that she did. At least I really don't feel that is really sorry. While Spike feels all this guilt for thinking he acted like a jerk when his girlfriend is the one who cheated. Now, she is engaged to another man. After how long. I think I read that it has only been four months since Spike and Buffy broke up. Four months. So, she went from dating Spike to cheating on him with Angel. Engaged to another man. Wow Buffy, it didn't take you long to move on. She seems pretty happy to me. Like her relationship with Spike really didn't mean anything. So, Buffy is someone that I really don't want near Spike right now. I don't like her much right now.


Author's Response: The premise for this fic was inspired by the lyrics of three songs by The Script - The Man Who Can't be Moved - Break Even and The End Where I Begin. Get on youtube and listen to them - they are brilliant. (Sorry but Leona Lewis isn't my cup of tea) Timeline wise it's a little longer than four months as time as passed since he got back to LA but Buffy is obviously rebound girl here. Spike is being a bit pathetic but real depression gets you that way - you even know how useless you're being but still can't pull yourself together. He has a lot going for him and hopefully he'll realise it soon. :) Thanks for commenting.

Author's Response: So glad that you're enjoying the story - have you listened to the songs that inspired it? Think I put them in author's note on chap 1. Spike is depressed and that equals pathetic - he knows how he's behaving but just can't summon the strength to do anything about it. Final chapter tomorrow. The Cordelia-as-a-reporter thing was a twist I didn't see coming! Glad to see inside of Buffy's head a little in this chapter.

Their reunion was great, but very sad :( Poor Spike. I'm counting on you to make everything happy in Spuffy land in the last chapter :P
