Your story Communication 101 is one of my favorites. I loved it so much. I actually reread that story not long ago. Just wanted to let you know much I loved that story. This story kind of reminds me of a very old Spuffy story that I read a long time ago. Where Buffy was the captain like this story. And took over the ship William and his sister Dawn was on. William manged to talk Buffy into letting Dawn go. Buffy was the captain as well and kept William for ransom. I guess because his parents had money. I remember William and Tara being and Buffy being jealous. LOL Giles was also like her father in that story. Of course Buffy and William end up falling in love. William ended up staying with Buffy and on the ship. I forgot the name of the story. But it was one of my favorites and one of the first Spuffy stories that I have ever read. I still think about how much I loved that story today. So, seeing this story reminds me of that story. I'm so excited to see a new pirate Spuffy story. Giles invading the ship Buffy was on when she was a little girl turned out to be a great thing for Buffy. She is now the captain and has all these wonderful things. Clothes, jewelry, shoes, etc. She gets to boss people around. What a great life Buffy has. So, it turned out to be a great thing for her. Poor William though. He has had a hard and terrible life. William has that I do whatever I need to do to survive altitude. He has to from what his life has been. I'm sure he is strong in the physical sense as well. Since he does a lot of physical labor. It is good to read that he still has respect for women though. This is something little but I was happy to see Harmony written as someone who is sweet for a change. So, are there are any other women on the ship besides Buffy and Willow. I was hoping Anya will be a crew member of the ship as well. I know I'm thinking too much. But Buffy and William. Oz and Willow. But what about Xander. And Anya is one of my favorite characters. I'm not saying you have to put Anya in this story. Or that you have to have any other relationships besides Buffy and William. But there is nothing wrong to hoping. Anyways, can't wait to read more of this. I'm really really excited about this one as you can tell. I am happy to read that you have many chapters written already. Then I know updates should be quick. At least I hope so. Sorry, for rambling too much. I tend to do that when I'm really excited. LOL

Author's Response: WOW.. thank you soo much for all the kind words. I do not think I have ever read that particular Spuffy fic. I've only seen ones with Spike the Pirate. But Id beinterested in reading it after I'm done with this one.I'm very glad you like how I've placed the characters. As for your other questions, several will be answered in this next chapter, so I hope you can keep reading.

I know you mentioned at the beginning that there will be historical inaccuracies, but you might like to keep in mind that a sailing ship cannot change its time of departure on a whim - it usually has to wait for high tide. Even iff Red 'magiked' it out, it would draw unwanted attention.

Also, the affirmative is spelled 'aye.'

Otherwise, I'm really enjoying this fic. I love historical ones and look forward to following this one.

As for the ship departure, well.. ur right but they only moved departure up by about 30 minutes or so, and well.. im taking liberties for the story. You should see the mess I'm making in the next chapter. I hope that you are still able to enjoy the story.

Looking forward to how William reacts to a female captain, and how each of them prove themselves to the other. Good detail and glimpses into the characters by their simple tasks, and I really liked what you showed of Buffy's and Giles' relationship. Definitely interested in what they've been planning. Great start and looking forward to more.
