WOW, this was a really great chappie, loved that he came back, cause he couldn't fight it anymore. And even Joyce likes him , tho not as Buffy's bf. LOVED the scene at the Bronze. The emotions and the feelings you evoked, how he felt just kissing her, so sweet and so hot. And that last line... sure Buffy ,keep telling yourself it can never happen again.heehee.

yeah, but she has a thing for him too, even before he did, and didn't she say that she wanted to be loved? now that she is, i'm not seeing the problem here, she always has to be fixated on the whole vampire thing, i figured it would be different this time around since she hasn't been hurt by angel, but anyway, we know it'll be happening again.

Author's Response: Part of it is because of that vampire thing - she is a Slayer after all. But part of it is that she's hesitant to love and commit herself. Which is Buffy, isn't it? *sigh*

Uh-huh... So Darla set a trap. I feared the first until Spike arrived. But I didn't expect Spike to stake Darla. He's very possessive :D (even if he sees it as protection in order to kill Buffy himself).
Oh the other prophecy. At last Buffy survived, thanks to Spike. (No points for Xander in this story, huh?) Another slayer called now? (Buffy said she felt different. Looking forward to find out if that was important.)

Mmmmm and both notice that they want something different instead killing the other.

No Xander, because he wasn't needed (Don't understand why he was needed in canon except for dragging Angel out of his apartment - Angel could have given Buffy CPR) And why was Angel hiding in his apartment anyway? He should have known what was happening and gone to help, like Spike did. Season 2 now and the romance will start heating up.

Wow is this good! I love how your having Spike teach Buffy how to be her own person in a fight instead of having her hide behind someones back-always needing help even though she's the slayer. (I never understood why they always had Angel save her-it didnt make sense) I cant wait till the next update!

Oh! Loved that Buffy tried to trick Spike with learning Thai style fighting. Even when it turned out to Spike giving her a real lesson. *grins*

Spending time together leads to getting to know each other, it isn't different with Buffy and Spike. :) He was even jealous.
Will be interesting to see Buffy and Spike fight against their attraction. Spike's not ready for Buffy regarding he still thinks of himself as / is in love with Dru.

I really like how you manage to keep first season Buffy in character, but give her the incentive to research and train hard in a realistic way that would appeal to this Buffy. Having Spike convince himself it's okay to want Buffy because he only wants a shag is the perfect way of getting past his defenses without him realizing he's compromising his love of Dru for Buffy yet. Buffy comparing human boys to the Spike she talks to and trains with and is infuriated and itnrigued by is a great way of building up her side of the attraction. Him helping her train for Thai style fighting is a natural way to bring them closer.
Looking forward to the rescue of Giles Buffy will need to figure out, and what Spike will think of the Anointed One. Please update soon!

Another great chappie. I love Sgt.Spike teaching her like in Slayer boot camp. lol And Buffy is willing to pick up a book and figure things out. That's refreshing. Something she should have done on the show IMO.
And that dance at The Bronze...grr. Love sexy, crude Spike. And she's sooo tempted. Now I'm wondering if our favorite insane vampire is gonna show up?

This story is so good, I'm really liking it! I just love evil Spike..so hot and cocky. Poor Jesse , but I guess he had to die.Good that she staked Luke, but Spike is right, she's been lucky. Love the interaction between Spike and Buffy, the attraction is growing methinks.
