Oh my, that was a rough chapter. I was afraid that she was being abused by her dad. I don't think I've read a story with Hank this evil before. I feel terrible for poor Buffy :( I hope that Spike can somehow improve her life - by beating Hank to a pulp or calling the cops, whatever he can do to help her.

*Hugs* This must've been hard for you to write too. I know I had a really tough time doing a very violent scene in a fic.

Author's Response: It was extremely difficult to write, but not nearly as hard as some of the later chapters. Unfortunately, this is barely scratching the surface of his evil ways. You'll see what I mean when you make it to chapter 18.
