This is totally and completely ridiculous, and down-right offensive. If Spike cared for Buffy so much, why didn't he go to the police when he first found out? Why didn't he tell someone? Why didn't he even try to persuade her not to go back into her home? Why did they just carry on as if nothing had happened the next morning? This makes me sick.

Author's Response: I'm sorry you feel that way, but I'm not forcing you to read this. This is my story to tell and everything is happening in it for a reason. Unfortunately a lot of bad things happen to good people in real life, and people don't generally do what might be in their best interest. She's had a hard life and he wants to protect her, but she's already addressed that she has a plan for the situation. He's respecting that. And what were they supposed to do in the morning? This isn't a new thing for her. She's been dealing with this for years. It's not all of a sudden a life-altering event for her. Her life has already been altered. So while you have the right to your opinion, I don't particularly need to know that my writing "makes (you) sick". I've worked hard on it, so please be more respectful in your reviews.
