Poor Spike, the most noble thing he's ever done turned out to be the "wrong" decision *cuddles him* I felt that would be so typical a thing to happen to our favorite vamp lol But it wasn't all for naught. Under different circumstances it would have taken them a long time (if ever! lol) to get as close as they have :)

Heehee I had that song from The Wizard of Oz going through my head as I wrote the chapter :P

Oh my, this chapter was sad / not good, regarding the witch. Bittersweet spuffyness but that nasty witch. I'm convinced she gave Buffy something to sleep (in the water?).
*phew* But the chapter ended better than it started. Spike did it! But only because Buffy helped. Teamwork rules.
(PS: An author said once: And SR lets you add the story banner once and it's always there, but on EF and BSV you have to add the code to the top of each new chapter. So it seems you can use different banners for a story? Because the one in this chapter and the next one are different. *wonders*)

Yep, you can change the banners for each chapter. I've got 3 different lovely banners for FFT. When I have multiple banners for a story I like to mix 'em up and give the readers different purdy pics to look at for each chapter :D

Author's Response: I do tend to put our heroes through really rough times lol But one thing I always do in my stories, is reward the readers for having to read about sad and bad things lol I promise that the story will have a lighter tone coming soon :)

Damn. And here I was thinking that the witch would meet her end. Since that was how she died in the fairy tale, I thought that she'd finally bite the dust. I'm out of potential ideas on how to get out. Not looking good (though, since this is part one I'm gonna go on a limb and say they eventually do get away- they better hurry too, since she wants to eat Spike tomorrow. Which is demented in my opinion- why would you want to marr the entire Spike package?)
Riley is a douche. I've probably said it before, but I feel the need to repeat it. I'm really hoping some of the hot scenes show up in the book, just so we can havbe the pleasure of his head exploding. That plus Anya's running commentary would do the trick.
I'm shocked that buffy made the first move. She's usually overboard denial girl. Well, she is sorrta in denial with looking for an explanation (I've never understood what's to explain- who doesn't want the sexiness that is Spike?).
Also nice to see her actually think for a change and not jump into the Spike is oh so bad adn tried to bite me the minute he had a chance. I like your Buffy- she uses her brain.
Can't wait for more.

Author's Response: I know it was really evil of me not to have Buffy kill the witch >:D But I do have a plan lol And I agree, the witch has to be totally insane to want to mar Spike's beauty in any way. Eating him up should be the furthest thing from any female's mind... in a literal sense, that is :P

lol It would be great if Riley's head exploded! That'd be one problem solved heehee There *will* be pictures in the book that cause some raised eyebrows (tho I can't promise actual exploding heads) hehehe

Buffy is becoming less dumb lol She's hanging onto some denial, but what she can't deny is that she does care about and needs Spike. Whether it's her own emotions or the Unari are making her feel it - she still *does* feel it right now. I know, she shouldn't need any excuse other than 'he's smokin hot!' lol And I enjoyed writing that part about her not jumping to the conclusion that Spike got zapped because he'd wanted to hurt her. Hooray, she actually learned from her similar past mistakes! lol

This chapter was so sweet when it comes to Spike and Buffy. Spike first not wanting to take any of Buffy's blood no matter how many times she offers him. Then Buffy trying to find any little animal for Spike to eat. They care about each other and are worried about the other one getting weaker. I must tell you that I was worried right along with Buffy when Spike had his eyes close and didn't reply to Buffy right away. I know he is a vampire so he can't be really dead, dead. I do think that if a vampire who didn't have any blood would eventually die. That is their food and they need it to survive. Just as a human needs food to survive and just as a human needs blood to survive at that. Not only was it a sweet chapter but we also got Spuffy kisses. I hope that our favorite couple is able to escape soon. I'm love that Anya is telling Riley off. I do love Anya.

That's true, we don't really know what can happen to a vamp if they don't get their food - so maybe Buffy was right to be scared. But Spike isn't the 'fade away' type, he takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' :D You know that if there's any way out of this, he's gonna find it

Awww, yay! They made with the smoochies! I like when they smoochies.

So, they are getting really close, having been through everything that they've been thoughtt and now Buffy can't deny the feelings that she is feeling. I hope she doesn't really belive that Unari are doing this, making them feel for each other. That would be sad.

I love how concerned they are for each other in this chapter. Spike is all concerned that he will hurt Buffy and Buffy is concerned that Spike will hurt himself or get hurt by the witch if he can't calm down. I can't help but feel hopless along with Buffy and Spike. They just lost their (might be) last chance, and now they both are at a loss for what to do =( I hope the perfect situation comes up soon. Just reading the witch dying will be soooo satisfying. He is a major bitch. Maybe she will slip on a peice of candy and break her neck... That would be fun to read, heehee!

They've grown so close, and its just such a great fic and I love it!

I want to flick Riley though. He is starting to over react to every little thing that is happening in the story, adn I'm afraid of what he is gonna do when Spike and Buffy get back with Dawn. I really hope he can understand Buffy's choice and let her be with Spike in peace. Probably woun't happen though, because Riley is a big fat buttmunch. I love how you have him acting all crazy, like something in him is snapping because he knows he is gonna lose Buffy.

He deserves to not have Buffy, the bastard lol

Very hot. Spike and Buffy all with the hot daydreaming. Or are they really dreaming. Dream or real life is still very hot. Buffy should just jump his bones already. I know I would. I still wonder how our blond couple is going to get out of the evil witch clutches.
