okay, i don't get any of this. why are you making it like dru is an ex who came back to him? they don't know each other here, so how is she suddenly in his room? i get giles being protective, but he was completely out of line, and i hate that buffy is always running away, but really, this story is just confusing me right now. i might give one more chapter a chance.

Author's Response: In hopes that you may continue to read, I want to clear some things up that you mentioned. Firstly, they weren't in his room, they were on his front lawn. William fell asleep on the grass outside. When he wakes up, Dru is standing there. As far as giles is concerned, there is an entire backstory that will explain their father/son relationship and why they act the way they do. Thirdly, Buffy is always running away because she never really had a parental figure to guide her. When faced with a problem she feels she can't handle, she attempts to escape it. Notice that in her past, Dru seriously damages Buffy's mental state because it is easy to. Buffy may be sweet, but she is completely oblivious to what is going on in her life as it happens. With that said, I hope I cleared everything up enough to keep you reading.

Wow, this Dru is awful! But cheers for Buffy for opening up to William, and another kiss! The early awkwardness and reactions are also very well done. :)

School can really be a bitch with a friend like Dru.
Maybe getting together with William will help Buffy to stand up against her. If Dru spreads rumors she just has to get through this.

dru's a total bitch, buffy needs to stand up for herself more and get rid of the psycho. she was never a good friend, buffy could easily be happy with william if she stopped worrying about dru every second, she's not worth it.

Buffy and William are both pretty darn confused. Getting back at Dru really does seem to be messing up with their natural chemistry. Wonder when they will realize that its really the plan that's messing with their heads rather than each other. Probably not before a few other meltdowns, and I can't wait. Please, update soon.

I usually don't read incomplete stories, but this one caught my attention and I'm loving it! The tangled web that Buffy and William have woven around each other and Dru...the slowly building UST...the developing side plot with Giles... this has the makings of a classic fanfic! I can't wait for more!

Love their mutual thought-fest. A nice touch indeed. Clearly the chemistry will get the better of them, and I can't wait. Update soon!

This is turning out to be rather sweet and definitely more developed than the typical teenage fic. And I like William's character--maybe a bit of a nerd but sweet, nice, and definitely not weak or without courage.

Sounds as if Buffy had a bad break-up. And it sounds as if Dru played a role in that. Must be very hard to pretend to be still friends (to be forced to be friends) to stay in the 'IT'-crowed (the famous crowed).
