And Angel knows that Spike is there. And the McNamara brothers clearly aren't fighting fair. So unfair that it seems only one is left. That's right in line with the Angel story if I remember correctly. I like the idea that both are happening at the same time. I do hope that Buffy doesn't judge Spike too harshly for feeding on a woman when in that state and it is forced right under his nose. Sometimes survival takes sacrifice. Awesome chapter. Always ready for more.

Author's Response: Yup, this is pretty much how it went down in the episode of the Ring. Jack was shot by his own brother when Angel dragged him into the holding area. I'm glad that you like my world and the Angel episode merging. Hopefully, Buffy will agree with you that survival takes sacrifice.

Author's Response: Thanks Cordy, I did fix it. Sent you an email of the correction. And I'm also placing here the answer to your question, "why they shared a dream now?" Spike was able to enter into her dream because he had recently fed from her and his demon wants to claim her, so he is intuned with her emotions and the like. When she called out and needed him, this brought him into her dream, due to the blood link. In addition, Slayer's dreams are quite potent. She has shared dreams before ie with Angel during Amends...remember when he had that porn mustache? LOL

wow.... something important happened in this chapter. besides the fact that it was a close call for Buffy ((and she wasn't even in a ring anymore!))
i just loved the way he was worried about her. and he even risked The Red Line for her.. and she finaly let her mind '''acknowledge what her heart already knew,''' as you put it nicely... :)
and he bit her! and most importantly - stoped too. i hope her blood will at least help him in his next fight.
