Great chappie once again. I love this story! :)

Tara and Amanda are really putting into place in Spike's mind as to what life beyond one-self could be, too bad that Buffy thinks that she is being noble just like Spike thought he was when he left her. Angel, I'm sure, had no problem telling Buffy of Spike having company, tit for tat and all that with this crowd. Like I said in my previous comment, lock them all together in a small room and watch the fireworks! No telling what Buffy will do next, hopefully not suggest that they elope or get impregnated by Angel while she is feeling all martyr like. Look forward to the next chapter. Gah!

oh, i wonder what she plans on doing. i felt so bad for her in this chapter, but hopefully spike will tell her the truth soon.

That speech from Angel is exactly my opinion of Spike (and his actions.) I've been turning it over in my head for the past few days (you know it's a good story when it sticks with you) and I've gotten angrier and angrier at him. Sure there's the old adage of 'You don't know what you got till it's gone', but I don't really think it applies to this situation. It sounds like Spike knew exactly what he had and chose to leave her anyways.
Wow, again for the first time, I find myself absolutely mind-boggled by the fact that Buffy IS actually too good for Spike for a change. He really doesn't deserve her.
I realize this totally sounds like a flame, but really it's not. I love when stories can invoke such a passionate response in me (as a very mellow person, these instances are very rare)
Can't wait to find out who that woman is!

Author's Response: I've gotten flames before, and I don't consider this to be one, no worries. It's actually flattering when I get such a big response, it shows that you guys are really getting into it. As for Spike, yeah, I don't really make him look very good at first, but I'm hoping that will change by the next chapter. Thanks for reading=)

Who is this mysterious woman in the apartment? So glad that Angel confronted Spike on his meddling on his relationship. This chapter is airing out the love triangles that are floating around. All in all, I think that Buffy should have made herself known during Cordy's and Harm's office chit chat. A woman in love fights for her man, Angel proved his love by immediately confronting Spike. Lock all these players in a stalled elevator, throw in some truth serum and see the fireworks! (I can only dream). Look forward to more.

Author's Response: There should be oil of some kind involved...lol! Yes, all true, which just proves that Buffy doesn't love Angel as much as she likes to think she does.

Uh huh..so Cordy is in love with Angel and they kissed? I knew something was going on there. I think Angel has a touch of the "Save the Damsel in Distress" Syndrome. And it looks like the Spangel friendship is in big trouble too.
Who is that woman?...I don't think it's a girlfriend cause Spike is really trying with Buffy and I trust him. Of course Angel will probably go blabbing to Buffy.

Classic Buffy always running away *sighs* i really hope she doesn't marry Angel.

Talk about giving out mixed signals, Buffy needs to seek counseling to deal with her issues with men. That way, at least, she can talk to someone who has not ulterior motives or pre-set opinions. I rather expected Buffy to react when Spike admitted to breaking up relationships....how many has he broken up? Angel must really be confused by Buffy's inability to say what she really wants, I can understand her being upset about him being in a strip joint, but is trust the issue she has against Angel or she is just insecure about being enough for Angel as a woman. As for Angel's mother, Buffy just needs to express her feelings about her domineering behavior in orchestrating every aspect of the ceremony. Perhaps, Buffy needs an intervention from her friends to make her realize that she is falling into a pattern where she makes bad choices regarding men above and beyond her own feelings and life goals. Spike is proposing a relationship with Buffy, can he support them should she choose him over Angel or is he just winging it has been doing so far. Glad for this update and the angst, look forward to more.

Please update as soon as you can. I like the story and I would like to read more. I want to see Buffy and Spike together soon. I don't like Angel.

I'm glad Spike told her the truth, it wasn't right what he did, but he was young and stupid and insecure. He did the wrong thing for the right reason IMO. He needs to get her trust back, and she needs to slow down with the wedding plans, she shouldn't marry Angel out of gratitude and cause he helped her to get out of a bad sitch.
I'm so glad Spike didn't go for Faith ..It shows he wants to be with Buffy and stop screwing around.
