It's only understandable that Buffy would be confused as to what to do after reading the letter. After all, she would have to leave her comfort zone of Sunnydale. It's good that she still has Willow to confide in.
No wonder Buffy has some issues with Joyce. Being told that there's not enough money for you to go anywhere but the local university, while your mum goes all over the place. At least my local uni was my first choice, I don't know how I'd react in that sort of situation, but hopefully Spike will be able to help Buffy past these issues.

Author's Response: Yes, Buffy is her usual Buffy self, with the exception of kowtowing to her mother. However I feel she kowtowed to her friends an awful lot on the show.
