It's painful to see how isolated she is from them; it seems previous to this her relationship with Will was closer than her relationship with Xander, but afterward it was strained to nothing.
I like how everyone at school seems accepting of a relationship between two boys. Can't wait for more!

Honestly, though I know it's going to be Spuffy, I can speak from real life experience that the sister is the last to know. High school is a challenging place and you need to hang on to the people that make it bearable. Update soon.

I do understand Buffy. Being too close, you sometimes might not see what's under your nose, but just the same... I mean.. hell.. the guy you're falling for ends up being gay? yikes :D And the whole out of the loop with her brother...

I do understand where Buffy is coming from--she's very young. You're portraying the situation realistically, especially her feeling of being alienated from the two people in the world she cares about most.

I'm afraid I have no interest in reading about Spike in even an implied human homosexual relationship. I have no problem with it when he's a vampire but for some weird reason it's a total turn off when he's human. I'm the same way with Buffy's character. Good luck with this story - I'll keep an eye out for any others you may post in the future!

Oh my God, you read "Blood Oranges?" Thanks for liking it! That's a weird thing. Anyway, I'm pro-gay sex scene, if that's you're vision, leave it in.
Author's Response: For real, Blood Oranges is one of my favorite stories. So much different than anything else I've read, and in a good way! You went to places that most other authors wouldn't and I love that. I'm pro gay sex scene as well, but since the story is from Buffy's p.o.v., I don't think there will be one.

The author´s notes are a bit vague, before I continue reading, please clear up if the Spike/other refers to Spike/Xander in a sexual sense, because I don´t want to read any sex scenes with that pairing.
Author's Response: Their relationship will remain vague (to Buffy) for a while. But, ultimately there will be no sexual relationship between Spike and Xander. People will suspect it because of their closeness, but it won't actually happen.
However, there may be a homosexual relationship for Spike, but there won't be any explicit sex scene. It's something that happened in the novel My Heartbeat, but I haven't decided yet if I'll include it. I hope this doesn't turn you off to the story.
