Helpful info. Lucky me I discovered your website by chance, and I’m shocked why this twist of fate didn’t took place earlier! I bookmarked it.

Wow. That had some good character stuff for a PWP. Plus I always wondered what kind of bad poetry Spike would write about Buffy.
Author's Response: Thanks.

So Dampers recommended this story and as she is one of my favourite writers I thought I should try this. It was really dark and desperate. I thought. you got the charatcters down very well. I would love to read more from you, I too am surprised to hear this is your first fan fic!
Author's Response: Thanks for your review, Beans. Dampersnspoons is such a wonderful and talented writer. She was kind enough to beta-read the story for me too, and gave me really brilliant advice.

The girl’s shame, always spun out on the ether, was suddenly a solid thing, and huge. And blaring like a siren.
So painful - for them both. Hard and a little cruel.

That was amazing. The way you write is beautiful, the description, the raw power of Spike and his hate/love/lust for her is portrayed so fantastically that I am hooked already. After this fic, I hope you continue on. And on and on and on.
You know what, just don't ever stop writing awesome fanfic for us Spuffy addicts, okay :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the vote of confidence, Chantelly. I can't tell you how much it helps to hear this sort of thing. I was tres, tres nervous about posting this.

Love the utter rawness of Spike and how Buffy surrendered fully to it. Don't get me wrong, I love Spike completely, but whipped Season 6 Spike isn't really my favorite. I love the witty, crass, don't mess with me Spike of early Season 2. This is how I see you portrayed him here. Brilliant!
Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, I sort of see him as torn between the two. Spike has his moments in S6, though. I'm thinking the whole "You belong in the shadows with me" scene in "Dead Things."

THAT was very good! This bit just had me standing in awe: "Even now: clad in that shapeless nylon nightmare and that ludicrous Bessie the Bleeding Cow cap, even slathered in failure and rendered fat. Even now the little minge could still lance him like a sodding boil."
The description of sex as part hate and part lust and part something else was just very good. I can't believe this is your first fic. Applause! (One tiny small fixy: wonton to "wanton")
Author's Response: Thanks, Puddinhead! I'm working on the third part, now, and it gets a bit darker. I sometimes do think there is a bit of hatred in lust.
"(One tiny small fixy: wonton to wanton)"
OUCH! Hahahahah, that's actually a pretty funny typo... Can I have a side of egg roll and chop suey with that poem, please! Thanks so much for catching it, and letting me know.

A dark and sad feeling, perfect for this part of season 6.
Author's Response: Thanks, magnus.

Definately a great wow, an amazing wow. You managed to evoke such a realistic scene from a few words and captured something that is often indefinable about their relationship: the loathing that Spike feels for both himself and his interactions with Buffy. (eg: Ponce! Bloody Rent Boy!). Brilliant characterisation.
Author's Response: Whew! In my brain, I was picturing someone shaking their head sadly and saying "wow, just wow." :-D
Thanks for the lovely compliments, claudia!

Wow, just wow.
Author's Response: Is that a Good "wow" or Bad "wow?"
:O

I'm in love with the way you write. Don't ever, ever stop.
Author's Response: Thanks so much, Minx!
