William apologized, that's good. If he notices himself that he has a drinking problem that's even better.

First off, please know I like you story, the characterization, and their awkward dealings with each other. I'm just pretty sure if William was drinking on medication that would not rightly mix with alcohol, that he 1) wouldn't come around quite that fast to being moderately coherent, 2) would not be told by a pharmacist just to throw up without there being ambulances and ERs involved (Especially stomach pumping, which I have experienced from William's end after drinking too much, alcohol poisoning can kill you) and 3) he still would not have become really conversational just because he threw up. Alcohol sits in the blood stream, not just in the stomach. Buffy did the right thing, and perhaps my perception of time for the incident is off, cause I read it like it happened in maybe 10 minutes, and that wouldn't be enough time for the bloody pharmacist to give a response let alone Spike to wake from and alcohol/drug induced stupor. I love the emotion, and the tentative truth's that they seem to unearth about each other along the way, and it's nice to see resolution about this overdose without a cliff hanger... but this is the kind of moment that would make a better cliff hanger. I am really drawn to these two characters, and I want to see if Spike can become a better person. Please update soon and take my criticism as someone who just has a bit too much personal experience with such things. :(

Author's Response: I would never presume to write about something like this unless I had personal knowledge or had researched a particular situation fully. I have to know my subject matter. This took place over the course of an evening. He had one large drink, which amounts to about four or five regular drinks, so it wouldn't be alcohol poisoning, especially for an alcoholic. The problem was it conflicted with with his medication, and it also depends on the particular medication. My beta is also a nurse, and she's extra critical about medical accuracy.
