Just love their dynamic, and the fact that she is still a horrible driver. And interesting developments in the Angelus camp. Gotta wonder where that will ultimately lead, doesn't seem like Dru has it in her to deceive, but she's clearly surprised us before. Poor Xander, sorta forgot about him. This chapter was amazing. Loved the bit about the skittles and the yummy pickles. Him trying to teach her to drive--it was such a real, teenage thing. Then you slam us with Dru and Eline and a dead baby. Oh my God. As a parent, that just hurt my heart. I have a rule that a writer can't kill a kid for unnecessary reasons in a story. You passed the test. That was gripping and chilling. Their dialogue was so perfect when they were lying in bed. This is the most mature, fully realized story you've written. Thanks for posting.

Mmm Dru is still helping Spike, interesting.
So Spike's gut was right, Buffy is in danger. But being near a good weapon selection should help - at last I hope it wasn't a trap.
Glad it wasn't a trap - but Buffy knows the truth now. She will be hunted.

The weaponry definitely helped. If it weren't for that blade, Buffy would be in real trouble. At least she's aware of being in danger now. Now that she knows, it'll be easier for her to protect herself. And she's got Spike to watch her back as well.

Strong Buffy, glad that she knew that Spike would be there for her. Good thing he trusts his gut. And thank heavens that Ellen is one of the good guys. A couple of seconds there where it could have gone either way, but I'm glad she's good and understands enough. Love that she used to be married to a watcher, does kind of explain the amazing weapons collection. Was that the scythe Buffy was connecting with? So very glad that they are back together again. I wonder if the alone time will give them a chance to share their feelings. Not easily, of course, but eventually. :) Update soon!

Author's Response: She's handling things pretty well considering the sudden turn of events. You'll see more of the fallout int he next chapter, which should be up very soon. Yup, Ellen is one of the good guys. I had her whole background story about being married to a watcher made up as soon as I introduced her. I like that you weren't 100% sure about her though. ;) The weapon wasn't scythe... exactly. But it's something very similar. Spike/Buffy moments coming up! I'm very excited about it as I missed writing their interactions. Now we'll see them develop the connection between them more thoroughly. Thank you for the sweet review!!! :)
