One chapter left for you to tell me she's not really dead. I don't believe a kick to the gut could take out our girl that fast. I have faith. And that mysterious locket. Feel like maybe she should have had possession of that nifty gadget this last go round in addition to her sword. And what did Eline and Dru want to come out of this whole thing. They got them there, and kept Spike out of the fight... What did they want? One chapter left and I'm still asking questions and still ready for more answers. I loved their drunk time. And the fact that you didn't tell us what exactly happened, only leaving brief traces for them to piece back together in the morning. I have had many, many a night like that... er, maybe that's many a morning after a night like that. :) Sad to see this go, but must know what happens. Spike deserves so badly to get the girl. Author's Response: Is she? Isn't she?? Can't tell you, but what I can say is that it didn't happen due to a kick to the gut. It was because of the weapon... there are hints to it in that scene. ;) You'll find out more about that and the locket in the next chapter, which is also the epilogue. She should have had the locket, but alas, they had no idea what it could do and if they had, I wouldn't have been able to write the twist I'd been planning on since the start of the story. ;) As for Eline and Dru, that will also be answered in the epilogue. So awesome that you liked the drunken times!! It was a lot of fun to write. Hee... I just bet it had some of your own, you vixen. *g* Thank you for being lovely!!

Hi I haven't commented in a while and I'm sorry for that. Life's been a bit of a jerk lately. But I'm so glad that I've caught up. Fantastic fight scene. I could clearly picture everything. I can't believe this story is almost over! You really did a fantastic job, here, thanks so much.

I liked this from the beginning & gotten more & more addicted as its progressed. It just gets better & better. How crazy is it that even while I'm dying to see how it ends, I don't want it to end?

There's this thing too with Buffy having 'seen' Spike's past - she understands him better now, maybe better than every other people will having 'been him'.

Oh wow, that was a great chapter... (Not that the others aren't great. :P)

The way you delved into Spike's head was very realistic and while it's a little annoying to see how little self-confidence he has in the matter of his past, simply because we can look at it from the outside, it is also really heartbreaking what he is hiding beneath that tough facade.

Besides, I think everyone can relate to feeling unworthy of love and like a failure. He just takes it to a new level.

It's good Buffy finally told the whole story. I also liked the talk they had about it, how horrified Spike was at Buffy's fear that he hated her now. Of course, as people standing there from the outside and knowing how fanfictions work, it was bound to happen a lot like this, but you still did an outstanding job with the how. :)

Oh yeah, he definitely does. Not that surprising though. Most people could hardly say they've been through as much crap as he has.

Well, I couldn't have them breaking up, could I? ;) But I also think their connection is strong enough to withstand that kind of trouble. They'll get mad and fight but then they'll talk and sort it out. That's how strong relationships work.
