Love the isolation, and how she's made it into a bit of a dirty secret, her secret fascination with Billy. I wonder what exactly is going on in his head as she's pondering what he's up to. I can only hope that they are both at this art exhibition. Update soon!

Ah! Once again. You've taken a situation that would *squick* a lot of people and fashioned a very compelling tale. I love the dynamic of Billy knowing just that much more than she knows. It's very like Spike's intuition about her. And I love how Buffy senses things - almost on a primal level - which is so true to form for her as well. Just very well done, hon.
Oh, and the description of the kiss was spot on. To worry about spit and brushing their teeth - to approach it kind of like ... an art project! Just perfect for their age.
Author's Response: Thank you! I was very careful with the kiss; I didn't want it to be erotic or anything because they're kids. I projected my own kid-like thought processes into that moment.

even though I hate for them to part, I feel that it was the best for Tara to make this decision. "Buffy" needs to remember on her own. It's for the best. Looking forward to more!
Author's Response: As a parent, I'm sure the moment when they kiss was mixed with a bit of cringing. They're still very much kids and they need to be protected. I always thought Tara would make the best parent out of all the characters on that show.

Soooooooo this is terrific, I'm hooked (never thought I wouldn't be). I didn't expect them to be able to remember so young or at all but I like it. You have great intuition about where each story needs to go and your characters all seem so real. I loved Tara's line about how Billy was conceived, hilarious dry British humor. I can picture her face as she says it. You have an amazing way of bringing every character to life in every story I almost think you just sit back and watch each chapter write itself. Can't wait for chapter 3!

So sad! SIGH. I love how you're handling this reincarnation. Having Billy be more aware makes sense and having him leave so that Buffy can have a real childhood Is heartwrenching but appropriate. The image of them brushing their teeth was hilarious and adorable:)
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your compliment of my handling. It was the juxtaposition of an old soul with a child's maturity and comprehension that made me want to write this piece. I almost see his knowledge of the past as part of his atonement for that previous life, and the decision he makes to let her find things out in her own way is part of his growth as a character. Glad you liked the tooth brushing. I was just thinking back to that age and how I was obsessed with sex but in a very, very childish way. Like the thought of kissing someone without brushing first would be the height of gross. Thanks for the wonderful comment!

It still pulls. I think I love most that he never questioned it was his Buffy, and that he's got the complete attitude and vocabulary of and adult with a tweens petulant pout! A pretty awesome juxtaposition. They have to do this, but how can anyone question that after defying death, they will find each other later in life? So ready for more. Update soon!

Their souls have a pull toward one another, and she was following the force of the universe when she made her series of uncharacteristic choices. This makes me so happy! The nail painting was definitely my favorite detail--that and Mr. Gordo. I love that we get to see them through the parents perspective--we get to be in on the joke and they're hilariously clueless. Author's Response: Well, the soul bond is still very much in effect, which is why Tara could sense Buffy needed their help. All three of them are drawn to one another, they would have eventually come together--the purpose of the soul bond is the to find your loved one in the next life. Tara just knew Buffalo and that neighborhood was right.
