Canon! Buffy is out full force. :( Souls are everything and nothing else matters. I would have thought she'd see things a little less black and white now, especially Spike. I'm glad he let the vamp girl go, he kept his word to her even if Buffy thinks it's wrong.
Good to see the Slayers a little more confident too. :)
Now for the most important question...Will Spike re bleach his hair and will he get a new duster? LOL

Author's Response: ROFL haven't thought ahead to whether or not Spike will change his wardrobe and hair. Kinda doubt it, but he may want another cool coat. Not sure if it's the lack of soul that's bothering Buffy, so much as it is the fact that Spike is eating people. He's the one who was sure she wouldn't have him without the soul...

Author's Response: In most of my fics - it wouldn't. But remember, canon Buffy was all about the soul and how important it was. She didn't let herself relax and admit how important Spike was to her until he had one. I think the adjustment might take a bit longer this time. Especially with Spike's new eating habits... :)

Of course Buffy had to say the wrong thing. But I like seeing Spike like this. Losing the soul and being his own man has been good for him. Who can the enemy be then? If he's a known person, I would guess, human Angel (Liam), Ethan or Warren. Riley doesn't seem right for this.
Author's Response: *nods* Poor Buffy - just blurts out whatever without thinking about the consequences. And yes, this Spike has a bit more confidence than souled Spike did. Might take some getting used to for Buffy....

One step forward, then two steps back. Always the way. At least they are teaming up now to take out the big bad, and per usual, Buffy and Spike seem the most bothered by his lack of soul. Creepy human guy, is a perv and well creepy by the sounds, I am tossing between, Angel, Riley(only cause of the mojo he's using on vamps and slayers it smells like iniative crap to me) and maybe Ethan, I always thought he was way creepy. I think that Spike is being a dope! Love is love people no matter what obstacles you face if you love someone you WILL get over those obstacles. Suck it up man. She loves you! And Buffy should just get over the rarely kills, she still loved Angel even after all the bad insane shit he did to her her friends and family. Wow..so good. Darn it, I thought that Spike had lost his soul. :( I feel so bad for him, he went thru hell to get it and now it's gone. And of course Buffy reacted EXACTLY as expected. No wonder he stayed away.
I know this story has nothing to do with the comics but unfortunately I'm reading them and have a pretty low opinion of Comic!Buffy so I'm not feeling too kindly towards her lately.

I am loving this story - I'm not sure what I wish for it to be local or a slow deterioration to each group of new slayers. But thats the side issue although important I'm more focused on the Spuffy loving.
