What a beautiful chapter I love the passing of time and who smooth and great things are going. I can't wait until Buffy's time to deliver. Spike dealing with that will be awesome and if I'm not mistaken should be happening pretty soon.

Just had to chime in to let you know chapter well done. Love's Bitch living the title and one little comment that line about the paint girl and him cheating and her saying he won't and he amends it to maybe you would. That was good made me laugh.

How do you do it?! This chapter was even better than the last one!! What a beautiful, fantasy wedding and then to consummate there too – what a glorious way to start their marriage. Buffy giving them those rings was very sweet too. Austin here we come – Yeehaw!!!

I LOVED this so much...Spike's proposal was perfect. Well I like Joan a lot but I'm totally Spuffy so I didn't mind that the date was just the two of them, (with the proposal it had to be) I'm sure there'll be a SpuffBot date too.

I'm so glad Buffy finally got her quarterpounder lol and it seems that they won't be travelling by boat. I love that you write a smart Spike, the show made him out to be dumb sometimes, and Spike is not dumb...he survived a 100 plus yrs while taking care of insano Dru.

All the pics were great and I loved Buffy's dress and Spike in a tux and the dusty pink roses. :)

Don't mind me with the 3some stuff, I guess I'm just projecting how I feel onto Buffy...I wouldn't want my husband screwing my best friend or my sister so I guess I'm just feeling strongly about that. The squick is just how I feel about that, not the way you're writing or anything. I do get the friends vibe from them, it's just me. Like I said I'll keep reading and enjoying, it just bugs me a bit is all.

Author's Response: Hey, AMI! So glad you liked the chapter and the date! Nearly everyone thought I meant the three of them would be on the date, so I had to add in that first scene to clarify that for Buffy and everyone. I guess I over-used the word 'we' in the previous chapter. Oops!

Oh, I agree - Spike is very smart! There's no way he could've survived this long without being smart. Some of his plans didn't work too well ('got bored' - my fave), but didn't mean he wasn't intelligent.

Hopefully the three-stuff won't be too wigsome. There's a bit of it in the next chapter, but mostly we won't be too focused on that. Hopefully the rest will make up for any squick there.

Oh, you're welcome! I take what everyone says seriously. I've gotten some great ideas from reviews and try to look at it from other perspectives. I get what you're saying about Buffy and being protective. I just think, in this story, the way she's come out of her dark places has always been with both Spike and Joan there, so ... she's actually the one attaching to Joan more than Spike is. Does that make sense? She's the glue holding the three together, not Spike. Not sure if that makes any difference in the 'bugs me' dept or not.

My evil devil of a muse has been awfully quiet ... when the bad comes, it's sure to be a doozy!! Eek!!

Woo Hoo love the song like having one from the man himself. I know I had begun to wonder how the night would go with roller coaster rides plus hellmouth and you surprised me by keeping things good. Which after reading the chapter was really the best route they deserve to have some time together that is happy and perfect. I like Spike's explanation of Angel something I thought all along when they showed where he came from compared to where Spike came from and everything that happened along the way made sense because of the people they truly were deep inside. Thank you for another wonderful chapter.

Glad you like Spike's explanation of why he and Angelus are so different. I keep using the same variation on the theme on that in different stories, but it's just what feels right to me.
