Loved the chapter, DH! Great fight scene! Really excellent! Those are not easy to write, I know! I always love Spike going all 'GRRRR-ARGH', especially in defense of Buffy or her family. And we all know he can! Loved Buffy, and everyone, for that matter, seeing just how terrifying he can be when someone he loves is threatened. One thing I love about Spike is how vicious he can be while being vulnerable too. A sweet savage! Can't wait to see who wails on Xander first ... Buffy, Spike, Anya, or Joyce! Joyce may actually be the scariest of them all! haha! Great chapter, DH! Looking forward to more. {hugs}

Wow, that fight scene was amazing! Really well done and impressive, you've got a real flair for writing them. Spike going medieval on those vamps was an awesome spectacle. I loved Buffy's thoughts as she watched it too. The best part was that Spike was doing it to protect Joyce, and that Buffy (and everyone else) saw he meant what he'd said :)
When Joyce slapped Spike, I was like "Wtf?!" But the reason she hit him was very sweet, and then she hugged him, so I forgive her for slapping him lol Buffy, Dawn, and Joyce's reactions to Spike after the fight were both funny and sweet ^_^
Excellent chapter, and well-worth any amount of waiting! :D
And thank you for the wonderful things you said in the chapter notes *big hugs* Me ==> ^_^

Augh! Leaving it there...so, so cruel. I LOVED this chapter. I love when Spike is written as the fierce warrior, master vampire he is. He is always underestimated, so when Buffy gets to see the actual power and skill he has, I'm super excited.
I can't WAIT to see what's in store for Xander. I (not so) secretly love fics where Xander gets what he deserves. Such a hypocrite, and I love, love it when he's called on it.

Loved the ogling and laughing at the beginning and the crying in the middle. Felt so bad for all of them really, but for Spike, Buffy and Anya in particular. The scene with Joyce & Dawn ogling Spike was great heehee 'Gratuitous Male Objectification </p><p>Day' is now my favorite holiday lol I visualized Spike standing there in nothing but his jeans, </p><p>staring at him right along with Dawn and Joyce @_@ Thanks for that! ;P And Buffy's subsequent </p><p>teasing of her mom and sister was very funny :D</p><p>Anya made me LOL several times, I love her! Squeee! So much wonderful Spuffyness! ^_^ Just like your other chapters, there was so much to love about it. Spuffy kissage, Buffy lusting for Spike, Spike being adorably nervous about their date, and Spike being so thoughtful and romantic *dreamy sigh* The picnic Spike arranged was very swoony. He's such a romantic li'l devil heehee
It's hard to pick favorite lines, but I can't list all my favorite bits cos this would turn into history's longest review lol So here are just a couple of mine:
*'Ha! Told you,' Buffy's Slayer was purring with contentment. ' He gets us more horny with a single kiss than Riley could with his whole body AND with his dick inside us! Remind me again, why you made us both suffer through sex with that loser, when we could have had Spike?! Idiot!'
heehee I declare Buffy's inner-voice to be awesome!
*A man who wore his heart so proudly on his sleeve, he'd nearly bled to death, for her. 'What exactly did I do to deserve him?' Buffy couldn't help but wonder.
It's so true that Spike always wore his heart on his sleeve. And of course I love hearing Buffy acknowledge how special he is ^_^

Wow, Xander's a total psycho asshole! We're used to him being mean to and insulting Spike, but his inner-ugliness is really starting to show now. I feel so bad for Anya :( She deserves better than a guy who considers her a consolation prize.
I very much enjoyed Spike's taunts at Xander, but I had a bad feeling about what Xander intended to do. And Spike making him madder wasn't helping! lol But that's our Spike - he said whatever he wanted to, never worrying about consequences. I'd laugh at what Spike said and then get nervous again about how Xander would react :O lol
I was so relieved when Dawn, Tara and Willow came in *phew!* lol If they hadn't come in when they did, I didn't see that scene ending well for Spike!
Loved the ending! I can't wait until Dawn plays the tape back :D That ain't gonna be good for Xander! heehee

Poor Xander.
Even in the tv series Xander did so little to earn Buffy's love, rarely truly fought by her side on the battlefield.
I really cared about his character during the early seasons of BtVS(outside of S1, Ep. 6). He was so sweet during those years. It was awful, watching him devolve into a one note character by the end of the series. It was painful to watch him on the series, for me.
Anya would be so much better off with Giles, in my opinion. She has a thousand plus years worth of demon knowledge, actually been at so many places in the world during piviotal moments. Giles would love to learn it and appreciate it totally.
I really enjoy your story I hope more will be posted real soon.
BTW I never could figure out why the show writers and producers gave Xander a free pass on trying to rape Buffy in Season 1 in the Pack and Giles let him get away with it. Then years later when the incident happen with Spike they were so totally unforgiving.

Hot diggity damn!!! That was great!!! I cannot wait until everyone watches that!!! In my opinion Xander always did have a thing for Buffy. That's why no one was ever good enough for her. And why he hated Spike so very much. Jealously is not pretty on Alexander LaVelle Harris.
Anya is going to boil Xander's fun parts in oil, eviserate him, chop his balls off then feed them to him before she kills him. But only if she gets to him before Buffy and Joyce!!!!!!
Hopefully they get to watch it before Xander does something to Spike. Or worse before he convinces Buffy, Dawn and Joyce to hate Spike. I could see the little shit setting Spike up for something like a dead girl. Just to get him tossed out of the Summers life. And possibly staked by Buffy.
