Spike, Buffy just did to you what you did to her. Can't handle something? Avoid and abandon your loved one. I think Buffy handled Spikes abandonment (pushing her away with false accusations, drinking, staying out all night) much better than Spike handled Buffy's. Buffy wouldn't have had to get away if Spike wasn't treating her so badly. Buffy could have handled it better, but for all she knew Spike wasn't coming home for the weekend because he would prefer to get drunk instead. Cant really blame her.

Well, I guess Spike kinda has a point, but honestly, I'd mostly blame him this time too (if it were me). Lol. Great chapter! Can't wait for more!

loved it. never realized how much sesne spike made about it always being about buffy until he actually said the words. he's totally right. okay, ready for the next update. bring on more of the angst. i can take it! lol. post soon.

Man does Spike have issues.... I do agree with him that Buffy should have done more than leave a note. A phone call would have sufficed. But look what he went an did! He starts and argument and leaves the house before the damn thing can be resolved. I HATE it when people do that. And he didn't finish his rant, "It's always about you, Buffy, it's never...". WTF? Does he have a point? This reminds me way too much of some of my fights with my boyfriend. Relationships are so bleeding difficult.

Yay! A complex relationship!! Loved the chapter. Especially how you didn't let it end with hugs and puppies. They've got issues - and they aren't getting out of working thru them that easy. :-)

So glad to see your update and still loving this story. Sorry you had so much upset but pleased you havent been put off continuing with this story as I really want to see how it all pans out and dont want you to become despondent and not continue until the end. Looking forward to next update

Author's Response: You know, I actually thought about not posting today because I was afraid things would start up again and I didn't want it, but I decided it wouldn't be fair to those people who weren't adding to the negativity. I have so many wonderful, considerate readers, and I can promise you I won't make all of you go punished because of a couple of people being confrontational. Even if the negativity pops up again, I can promise you I'll see this fic through to the end. It's the least I can do for all the people who have been supporting me--some of them for close to two yeas now!

great update. relationships are hard. they're hard work, hard on the emotions and hard to figure out. but worth it in hte long run, if you have someone willing to stick it out. good to know that spuffy prevails. keep up the good work.

I'm sorry you got so many bad responses. I for one really like this fic. I think you're an amazing author and you should just write the story how you want it, it's your story after all. If people don't like it, they shouldn't read it.

I also liked this chapter, it was so real. Things aren't automatically good after a fight when someone says ; we're okay. It takes time.

Anyway, keep up the good work. Don't let people get you down.
